Especial1y as 23 is my fav0rite number that is 2 digits b3cause it is tje only one that is TEAL(or seafoam green) wh1ch is my favor1te color. how fittin6 for a game about aquat1c life. 1t's so wild to me still that stuff like this is in Nintendo and how many millions of people get exposed to music that as far as non-vgm goes is at the fringes normally in one's exposure. but I am not complaining!

i'm finally coming around to Subterranean Sunrise. i love all the layers it has and the weird 3 pulse feel. unfortunately it had a really bad draw against d3molish for me.....which i feel might lose anyway...

comment feels like a softer CRYMACHINA song in terms of vibes, it's chill and spacey enough for me to appreciate it. Secundum has that nice marimba and trumpet to it, it's definitely stealing my vote here.

Funny, I think Subterranean Sunrise was a little more in my favor last year, something's changed since then. I think it felt shorter than how I remember it? d3molish is cooler than I thought it was too, I didn't think I would be into the abrasive side of Splatoon as I am with that one.

MATCH 1

comment te dire adieu is decent but not my preferred kind of song in this style. The melody isn't all that interesting to me. Also, the laughing noises starting at 5:07 are kind of annoying. Despite that, it's not a bad song.

Secundum Abandoned Mine, by contrast, has a really nice melody! Particularly with the violin. There's a certain emotion I'm sensing in it that I can't quite put my finger on. Wistful almost? Maybe something a step or two down from it. I don't know, it's something about the way the violin harmonizes with the marimba and whatever that lower instrument is way in the background. Whatever it is, I really like it! The rest of the song is good too, but that's definitely the best part.

MATCH 2

I liked Subterranean Sunrise quite a bit last year! Looking back at the results, wow, it was only 4 votes from retiring! I took J-E-N-O-V-A over it last year round 1, but it was a good match for sure. This year, I was able to have it win a match in my favorites bracket before unfortunately falling to Secundum Abandoned Mine. Anyway, I like the build-up to this song, but 1:52 is where it really shines.

The grimy synth of d3molish is actually pretty neat. I kind of wish it went somewhere that I'd want it to, though. It feels like I want it to build up to something, but where it goes isn't really something I find myself enjoying. I think it'd be pretty cool if it turned into something...I don't know, Hotline Miami-esque after 0:20.

Just wanted to point out that SS's loop point is said to be 4:37, but the video isn't even 4:37 long (it's 4:35).
Also Astra walkthrough is a cool name, but the song itself is not (mostly bc of the incessant banging at certain points)
