I don't watch many of their videos nowadays but it still hits hard. I appreciate him for really opening up about his reasons.

tl;dw:
  • Busy with personal projects, including directing a feature film, writing a novel, and writing a graphic novel
  • Has always found it hard to be so vulnerable and open as an internet personality, prefer other ways of creative expression
  • Thankful for the good times, saying it's helped him be more open and proud about his identity both as a member of the LGBT+ community and as an Asian
  • Thankful for the Try Guys and the community; is open to guest appearances down the line
  • Will still appear on episodes of the current season (available now on their new streaming platform 2nd Try, or later on YouTube)

Eugene was always the best Try Guy, I have no idea why theyre trying to do their own streaming service thing, especially without him.

It seems like the current trendy thing. Although those guys from Buzzfeed Unsolved tried to do it and got crazy backlash that they cancelled it.

The most common reason given is that YouTube money is just not enough for bigger production companies I guess.

I honestly fell out of their show slowly after they separated from Buzzfeed. Not sure what it was but it just became less interesting and funny.

Yeah, I feel the same for the most part (I still follow some series like Without a Recipe and Phoning It In). Maybe partially it's because the videos grow longer and they try some relatively more mundane/expected things.
