80 character limit in title made me cut stuff out things. I just realized I even misspelled opponent from the title edit I was making. Caitlin Clark team is 0-5. It was other team that won and then left immediately not saying anything to Clark. I think author is trying to possibly invoke when the Pistons ignored Jordan.

Maybe changing the team walkout music to Sirius would channel their inner Jordan, haha.

She's a rookie. Superstar calls will come eventually. Jordan didn't get calls his rookie year either. Although, I disagree with the idea of superstar calls. A foul is a foul no matter who it's on or who is committing it.

First one was a bad non-call. Gotta assume ref was focused on the loose ball after the block.

Second one gets non-called in WNBA A LOT. Because its largely a jump shooting league, that high five block happens pretty often.

And on the 3rd video, the opponent ignored the whole other team. Its not like they singled her out.

that's how this place has always been, unless that person is somehow related to horny. the sad truth.

It kinda sucks for her that she got drafted by the worst team in the WNBA. All these high expectations for her coming in and shes forced to play with a below average team around her where even if she plays well shes still losing and people are talking shit. Even if she wasnt playing as well as expected being on a winning team at least keeps your stock fairly neutral.

I also dont understand the contempt the rest of the league seemingly has for her. She seems pretty humble and doesnt talk negatively about anyone yet many seem to dislike her through no fault of her own. In fact the only impact she has had has been undeniably positive, she pretty much was the catalyst for womens basketball exploding in popularity in the last 2 years.

Seems like out in the real world too. I mean theres players on teams playing teams that Caitlin isnt on and their first and only thought is about her. Wish more people would want everyone to succeed, would make things a lot better.

And they really want her and Angel Reese to beef. It's so obvious, it's annoying.

Same reason LeBron was the main story his rookie season every night, despite the Cavs starting the year 4-15.

She is (arguably) the best college basketball player to come around in a long time, coming off a year the WNBA had some of it's best rating and attendance numbers.

Many where thinking/hoping her "hype" would bring the WNBA to a 2nd level of popularity.

I wonder if she will start beefing with players to make rivalries exciting

like Isiah Thomas and Jordans beef

TBH, This is what happens to every athlete that is hyped in the media the way she has been. She is one if not the best college woman player ever. But the media has gone so overboard in claiming she is the singular reason for better TV deals, the new charter planes, etc. They make it like she transcends the entire sport and of course that is going to piss both fans and current players off.

The sad thing is that Clark herself has never portrayed herself in that light. She is very humble and always tries to show respect for past and current platers. The media is doing her no favors putting her on such a pedestal.

She's 15th in PPG and 8th in Assists, so it's not like she came in and fell on her face.

The team that drafted her is BAD. They were 13-27 last year, 5-31 the year before.

WNBA is more of a team game than the NBA is. One or two players won't turn a team completely around like it does in the NBA.
