10/10 so far.

It fucking delivered.

Oh yeah. That was the weakest link so far for me too.

This season should be the template for the live action X-men movies going forward since theyre basically condensed.

Episode 5 was depressing as fuck.

9.8 - They just needed to slow down the goblin queen part. Felt like they ran through half a season's story arc in 2 episodes.

10 year old me would have been hyped. 42 year old me isn't interested. The original doesn't hold up for me.

The pacing was off at some points, but man when this show hits high it hits fucking high. I get the showrunners want to put themselves in their own constraints of a saturday morning cartoon (like the episode length), but man imagine if some of the character moments were given more time to flesh out this show could've easily been a 10/10 show for me. Otherwise it was spectacular, definitely a show designed for Millenials lol.

Very good, I probably give it around an 8.5+. Pacing is a little fast, dialogue is sometimes 'cringe' and all the love triangles suck, but that is standard X-Men drama I guess.

That last line from Rogue is a gut punch. I'll admit it choked me up.

Regarding the show it was incredible despite the nitpicks. Most impressive thing about it was the tone. They aged it up the perfect amount so it still feels like the original show but adult enough for the current age of the fans.

It was fucking great. The Mojo episode was completely unnecessary though, you really don't need to add filler to a 10-episode show with such a rapidly-paced plot.

It also really hurt to watch Gambit die, he was my favorite from the original cartoon when I was a kid. I'm just glad he got to go out as the biggest badass at least.

Only downside IMO is the pacing, it runs through several story lines at a breakneck speed. Spreading it out over 15 episodes or so would have allowed for more breathing room.

like a 9/10 to me. definitely one of the best MCU shows in a while!

Pacing's pretty bad for a good chunk of episodes and downright awful in one (Goblin Queen). That is straight up a bad episode imo. Second half of the season makes up for that and Genosha episode was fantastic. But it's far from a flawless show. Storm arc was also bad.

Very hopeful for season 2 since I imagine the format is just going to switch to how the last few episodes were. X-Men have always been my favorite and it's wild getting to see my old favorite cartoon brought back and done well.

Just the first two eps alone were better than the original series. Not since I was a teen watching Toonami had I anticipated a weekly airing of anything.

Just finished. Yup 9.5/10 and only because the Mojo episode was a 7/10. Excellent show. I cant believe how good this turned out.

Definitely an 8.5, though disappointing it squandered opportunity to build up more side characters/teams instead of hyper focusing on the same members in the 90s show still. Would have needed several more episodes to breathe though.

The Mojo episode seemed more like the writers finding a very 90s way to show that Jubilee is waaaaaay stronger than the original show made her out to be. Necessary? No. But it was also right before the Genosha episodes, so having something light-hearted helped a lot to separate the tension of the first few episodes from the latter half of the season.

9/10. Only loses a point cause the pace was way too fucking fast. Inferno really could have already been 2 episodes if not more.

Jubilee did some serious damage to Bastion.

Guess she learned a bit from Abscissa.

I feel like they're going to undo all the heavy, cool choices they made in S1 with time shenanigans in S2 though

9/10. It was amazing. But sometimes they crammed to much content into one episode where two episodes would have been better.

9/10, mostly due to how bad the power scaling was by the last few eps.
