Still struggling to consistently get past the second act. I've beaten it once and get beat down pretty much every other time I've attempted it.

Don't overuse healing spots and don't avoid facing minibosses.

Focus on taking enemies out each turn. Get used to doing the math on how much damage you can deal each turn. You can often avoid more damage by killing a target than by blocking.

Use opportunities to remove basic blocks and strikes from your deck. I tend to remove blocks first.

Taking less damage > dealing more damage in most situations, but If an enemy gets stronger over time that math may not work out.

2 cost cards and 3 cost cards take a lot of committal, and need to be worth more than twice a 1 cost card to play in most cases. Similarly, 0 cost cards and energy generation is VERY good

I've been playing The Silent more with how many 0 cost cards they have but it seems like you have to get a lot of stacking damage going because I feel they don't have many cards with a large damage output. like I love the Backstab card, it's innate and does 15DMG upgraded so I love getting a few of those if I can. but then they get exhausted and I'm kinda screwed after my first turn.

With silent, I like poison builds.

Silent's highest win rate at high ascension is definitely poison, but if you go 0 cost silent you need a decent ratio of backflips to keep drawing and blocking. Blur and dodge and roll help as well, the idea with both decks is to use free offense and blow all your energy on defense or defense that helps you make offense.

Don't get a specific build in mind at the start. Build around what you already have and what you know you are going to be facing soon. Synergy between cards and relics is important.

You can see which boss you will be facing when each act starts by scrolling to the top of the map. This should help you plan your build.

Face all elites, upgrade all your stuff, avoid damage as best as possible, synergize your cards.

Build on what you get, and what you issues seem to have. Not getting an attack or defense option when you need it? Buy some.

Never go vampire deal, unless you have molten egg. Then always go vampire deal.

As someone who has never played it and barely knows what it's about, my suggestion is to try and play better than your opponents, then you should win.

I beat my head against the wall on that game over and over trying to beat Ascension 20 but lost at the second boss with like 1/4 hp left its really, really hard

Your starting deck sucks. Add as many Attacks that aren't outright dogshit as you can and remove as many Strikes as you can. Additionally, some cards singlehandedly win you an encounter, and you want to run that card for that encounter even if it's a dead draw every other time.

Limit Break and any Strength generation for Ironclad can win you the game outright.

ALWAYS pick up Wraith Form as Silent, it can singlehandedly win you the game.

Pick up Biased Cognition, Defragment, Iceberg, Electrodynamics, and Echo Form whenever you can when playing as Defect. Buffer is also an incredible card.

Any time you see Rushdown as Watcher, pick it up. It is capable of completely breaking the game in half.

I'm also new to the game and trying to get my first win so this is helpful.

Always go to every ? Mark room and agree to everything.

Will it work? Probably not but if it does it'll be insane.
