Not a fan of watches. I couldn't see much point in a non-smart one these days outside of the whole "look at my expensive watch, I am so rich and cool" angle.

smart watches because i use them for a niche reason:

To differentiate, usually when driving, if my phone buzzed for a text/whatsapp message or some other unimportant message.

If I didn't have a job where being contactable at all times was pretty important, I probably wouldn't even wear a watch unless I had a job where I couldn't keep my phone on me.

It can do some things a tad more conveniently I guess.

Also fitness tracking if you're into that.

yeah but for stuff like step tracking it can be inaccurate.

My phone counted me walking like 20,000 steps one time because I was using it while going down a bumpy ass dirt road <_<

Not all of it. In particular they can't (at least not nearly as conveniently) record heart rate.

idk if it'd have been much more accurate in that specific case, but my watch can figure out when I'm doing a Rowing Machine <_<

Regular watches.

The reason is honestly aesthetics, since I just don't think smart watches look right.

But I also wouldn't want to be charging up my watch. I'd rather limit my smart devices to currently the one in the form of the ubiquitous cellphone.

To some of the people on here talking about fitness and heart rate, you can get advanced G Shocks now that are direct competitors to Apple in that area. Basically for people who want that but who essentially fit into the line items I gave about my preference for watches.

Unless you have a cell capable smartwatch, most smartwatches are going to last at least a few days if not a week before needing a charge.

Hell my Galaxy Watch 1 from like 2019 still lasts a few days at a time and I've daily drove it for years

Also its easy to take it off and put it on a charger while you go take a shower.

I haven't bought a watch since cell phones became mainstream. Used to like my little Casio calculator watch when I was in school.

I'm not into watches or jewelry period. I just don't like things like that on me at this point, I don't even like collared shirts and hated even having to wear a badge at work when I worked in building.

I do admire luxury watches for their designs but don't anticipate ever having one.

I always preferred mechanical watches but ever since I got used to wearing an apple watch every day my mechanicals only come out for special occasions.
