Yep. Pop too. I just started a new job and seeing 20 oz bottles for 1.25 was a huge shock. Seeing how I was paying 2.00 at my old job.

20oz drinks at my work used to be $1 then eventually went up to $1.25, then $1.40, then $2. I've just been bringing my own drinks for years.

It honestly astounds me how often so many people buy stuff from vending machines. It's always much more expensive than when you buy it at a supermarket or convenience store, sometimes even more than twice the price you'd pay for a whole pack. And on top of that, even after spending way too much on the thing you want, it freaking gets stuck.

2 ice creams from the ice cream truck were $7. Get 2 boxes at the store for that money. Fuck

look at 9 at night I'd have to go 15 minutes to Walmart to buy candy otherwise <_<

It was just $1 a few months ago now its $1.50 at the vending machine at work. 50% increase!

They are $1.75 at our vending machine at work. Things are cheaper where Im at in the Midwest though. We still have hardware stores and mom and pop shops that have soda machines outside that only charge like 50 cents for a 12 ounce can of soda.

the Sunoco near my work charges 3.50 for a 32 ounce gatorade now

I think the cheap pop machine at work might be owned by the work with their merchandise. Can't be certain it's just weird that one machine is 1.25 for a 20 oz bottle and the other is 1:75.

Ice cream trucks have always been way overpriced. I mean they have to be just to make money that way. You're paying for the convenience of getting the ice cream right away on a hot day.

Laundromats are a really bad time now if you use quarters. Some of them offer tokens to keep customers sane.

Mandatory return-to-office is a scheme to get people to pay these prices.

prefer tokens tbh if they had em at my apartment complex, would be so much easier trying to use those than to hit up the laundromat or car wash to gain quarters.

when i lived in vegas they had a token dispenser if put in dollar bills. used those for wash/dry.

on topic, can of soda is 1$. 20oz soda is 2$.
