Impa is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series. She often serves as the guardian or nursemaid of Princess Zelda. Every Impa has given extensive information and guidance to the various incarnations of Link they encounter in their time.

She was always just there.

There's like, a couple games where she rises up to yes. Skyward Sword, maybe HW, BotW...

But then there's other appearances that pretty much prove why she's not in every game. I think of the Oracles where she's incompetent for example and basically sit there with an entry like that and she tanks the games where she's story significant (especially since even in the couple games where she's good she's far from a great character)

Yes for the cool versions

I never got too far in either Hyrule Warriors game so I don't really remember much about her there. Sure, she's great in Skyward Snore, but that is the worst Zelda game I've played and it's pretty obvious that she and the old lady are one and the same when you go back in time there. BotW Impa is likable enough but underutilized. In the other games I've played, she was "just there" as Squirrel said, so... I guess I gotta go with...
