Bhagat Singh Thind, and United States v. Cartozian. First one: Japanese man sues to be considered Caucasian in order to qualify for citizenship. Court says no, everyone knows white people are Caucasian. So then an Indian man sues for the same, as Indian people have a natural right to being Aryan and Caucasian due to geography and history. Court says no, though he might be Caucasian by default it is "the common understanding" that Caucasians are white. Then an Armenian man sured and was found to be white. It sucks but that's how the legal system works.
