I work for an international company. I plan to reach out to my HR in the coming weeks to stress my concerns and the process of which to move should the scenario happen.

Countries in general are... stingy when it comes to letting new people join them. Lots of procedures and requirements.

Not really. Some actually left that I know.

Both scenarios are bad, though worse under Trump. But if he loses, there'll be many people taking action into their own hands. Though if he wins all the racists and bigots will feel emboldened to act and also take matters into their own hands.

I dont spend much time on the Internet outside gamefaqs but what time I do spend I see a fair chunk of these If X wins Im moving out of the country. Ive seen it for a couple decades now. Ive personally never seen anyone do it. After the election they go back to postings pictures of their meals and random videos.

Im sure some people follow through. Statistically I have no doubts it happens. Ive just never personally seen it. Ive seen people move to other countries but it had nothing to do with the election. It was job related, or their spouse was from there, or in some cases retiring to an area where they could live very comfortably on their pension because it was quite cheap to live there.

I'll be stuck here. I just hope it doesn't turn full fascist in... South Caroh dear.

Unlike in 2016, I personally did not work for a company who has previously told me they'd support me moving to another branch in another country if I sought to. I do now. I absolutely CAN move and will be checking with HR on options in the coming weeks. Just incase.

We can't even go to Mars because our liver and kidneys shrink. The only option left is Antarctica.

I never understood the whole leaving the country over a president winning idea. After 4 years there will be some damages, but if Democrats win then those damages can be fixed still. Leaving the country to Republicans is the worst thing that could happen to this country.

Nah I'm just of the belief that leaving because of politics makes things worse for the country in this particular instance. It only gives the other party more power when they chase their competition away.

There will be no democratic win for decades. You can outpace your opponent 70 to 30 and the GOP will still win. Elections become pointless after 2024.

Not at all. If Trump wins it's because people didn't vote. The stakes were much higher back in 2019 for people. My only fear is those same people won't get out and vote for Biden again because they think it's an easy win or because they've let the media manipulate them not to vote.

We will have voting after this election, but only for Republicans it seems.
