Ive had this problem my whole life. My body produces more ear wax then normal and every couple months or so I have to give them a deep cleaning with hydrogen peroxide or they become so clogged I cant hear.

Anyway, gonna have to do it tonight. Currently have earbuds in at full volume and it sounds faint >_>

It doesnt feel great honestly. My head just feels kinda clogged/heavy and every sound around me is very faded. Its a surreal feeling tbh

The relief I get whenever I do the cleaning is euphoric though haha. When the wax falls out and all the sounds suddenly come rushing in its a little overwhelming

yes, i had to go to the doctors office 3 times in order to get my ears irrigated. Like you, its gets so bad i could barely hear. They would show me how much wax was stuck in my ear and it would look like an entire ear plug worth of wax was jammed inside. hydrogen peroxide would do nothing in that situation.

Yep. They do it at the pediatricians office when I was a kid, but it became so frequent my mom just ended up buying an at home kit and started doing it. Now I just kinda do it myself, though its admittedly easier when someone is helping

My ears used to get clogged up easily several years ago, and I'd have to get them flushed out. My doctor suggested I clean them with q-tips/cotton swabs, which is normally frowned upon since people do it wrong and either damage their ear or push the wax in worse, but they showed me how to do it. I don't put the swab in very far, and I twist it as I do, which causes it to kinda catch the wax that's deeper in and pull some of it out. Not completely, but enough to keep it under control.

I'm not at all suggesting doing this, just saying what ended up working for me.

Not lately but I've had the problem. Just one ear though which I think makes it worse. If both ears are equal you don't notice as much.

It happened to me a lot more as a kid, I had weird canals that sorted themselves mostly out.

First time it happened it took like a week to get to the doctor, they spent a good hour clearing my ears (it took way longer back then).

They got them unblocked and I felt like fuckin' Daredevil.

Yeah I get that very very occassionally which was why I bought an ear syringe several years ago. I just fill it up with luke-warm water, squirt it down my lughole a few times and my ear is free of wax.

Asian by any chance? I have this problem from time to time as well. I have learned through a good friend of mine and some of her colleagues that it's common for Indonesian men, as they tend to have harder ear wax, and doesn't fall out on it's own as regularly as it does with most people.

I helps to pour a tea spoon of olive/sunflower oil in your ears from time to time. It makes the wax more brittle and easier to remove, though preferbly you should let it fall out on its own. Also it may take a couple of tea spoons worth of oil spread out over a few days for the wax to get brittle enough to dislodge.

I never had an issue growing up but as an adult since I got my current job in 1999 I work at a power plant and it is quite dusty/dirty at times and it is like it makes my ears over produce wax.

Once a year at my Doctor's office I have them flush it out with specialized water irrigation and it gets it absolutely perfectly clean. Feels so good when I leave there and I can hear the "scratching" sound a pencil makes when someone is writing all the way across a room.

I feel like Superman for that first day or so with crazy hearing. I highly recommend it. Much better job than I can do myself at home and it doesn't cost me anything since I'm at the Doctor anyway.

Yeah and I can't use q-tips because it'll push the wax deeper inside and clog it up. I usually use a paper towel to dig it out.

Yeah, it's been a problem for me until I got an ear-washing device I can use in the shower. It's like the flushing they do at the doctor's office but not as severe. Seems to have been keeping my ears fairly clog-free so far.

I use a mimikaki to clean my ear wax once every 2-3 weeks. Feels great. It's a bamboo scoop on one end to get the big wax out and then fluff on the other end for cleaning out the smaller particles.

I wanna go to the doctor and have it professionally done. Best friend did and he said it was like he could hear better than he had ever before. Said it was europhoric like he got a mild high

He's got legit ear issues though. He's deaf in one ear now and they had to do surgery on it or it was gonna kill him

I've had the problem since maybe middle school. Used to go to the doctor for it but had a bad experience once and started using those home kits.

Debrox kit kinda sucks, the bulb opening is wider than what they have at the doctors office (less control) and no accessories.

The NeilMed kit at Walmart has a much better bulb. The spray to clean your ears after the treatment is probably superfluous, but the bulb is worth the package in my experience.

Yes. Every 10 years or so my ears get completely clogged if I don't do anything about it. I just had to go in and get ear wax removed at the doctor's since I was losing my hearing. I'm going to try to regularly clean out my ears this time.
