I was scratching an itch in my ear last night when I noticed it hurt, and when I checked the q-tip the actual tip had detached. I don't feel anything but I I don't know what else might have happened.

I dunno how you can't feel it. When it happened to me I could immediately feel something was off and the loss of hearing was evident.
