Nothing to do with a dragon. They just think the name sounds cool I guess. Could be worse. CW was gonna introduce Isis in a show but wanted to change her to middle eastern. Fortunately they saw the error in that. Isis is a Egyptian goddess iirc and the character is black Adams daughter who's from khandak which is based on Egypt. But we all know what we associate the name Isis with now. They kept the middle eastern angle for the character but changed the name --- I put my heart and soul into my work and I fear I have lost my mind in the process ... Copied to Clipboard!

Sufferedphoenix posted... and the character is black Adams daughter who's from khandak which is based on Egypt. No, Isis is Black Adam's wife. He fell in love with a regular woman in present day and gifted her the amulet that would allow her to transform into Isis. AFAIK there has never been an Isis in any continuity that was Black Adam's daughter. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Of course back then FF1 had like elves and dwarves & shit so things have changed a lot and it's less derivative than it used to be but some of the classic nomenclature remains. --- It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha." https://i.imgur.com/dQgC4kv.jpg ...
