HannibalBarca3 08/04/24 5:41:44 PM #1:	He's probably the most well-known historical figure if you exclude religious figures Some people think he did amazing things like bridge the divide between "East" and "West", others hold him to be a ruthless warlord who ended up drinking himself to death, leaving his family in care of his drinking buddies and collapsing his own short-lived empire which he conquered from the Achaemenids. Some will tell you his daddy, Philip II, did all the legwork such as conquering most of the Balkans, turning the Macedonian levy into a professional fighting force, it should be noted that we don't know much about this, and laying down the foundation for Alexander's conquest by establishing the League of Korinth with some luck involved. Examples being the Athenian Empire suffering a deep blow in the aftermath of the Social War, or the breakup of Spartan power in the Peloponnese by the Thebans, or even the Persians focusing their efforts on conquering Egypt. Others will note the charisma, luck and aggressiveness of Alexander which allowed him to take what he inherited and wield it effectively during his campaign. --- Aut viam inveniam aut faciam.
