WASHINGTON U.S. Rep. Colin Allred and the Texas Democratic Party are launching a coordinated campaign to consolidate resources for races up and down the ticket, the party and Allred campaign announced Wednesday morning.
The initiative, dubbed Texas Offense, will allow candidates down the ballot to share data and information resources, letting different Democratic candidates better coordinate as they knock on doors, call voters and engage in other campaign activities. Its the partys first coordinated campaign of its kind focusing on the grassroots in over 20 years. Allred is running to unseat U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz.

The Texas Democratic Party is like that one person who still uses Internet Explorer. Ridiculous that they're this far behind.

Why bother? Texans are too craven and pathetic to ever stand up to the republicans. They will accept whatever abuse is thrown at them as long as they get to keep their guns and the illusion of security they provide.

Republican margins in Texas have been consistently shrinking since at least 2014.

Even if they were to lose, which they wont, theyll just throw out the results and stay in power. And Texans will do nothing about it.

This topic about isn't whether or not Texas will flip. It's about the fact that it took the Texas Democratic Party 20 fucking years to do the absolute bare minimum of party infrastructure.

My favorite part about your shtick is how long and fervently you've held onto it. Are you just like, pot committed at this point?

It's strange how when Republicans talk about liberal states, many like to call them out for stereotyping and presenting a narrow view, yet when it's a Republican state, the same Liberals say stuff like Texans are too craven and pathetic to ever stand up to the republicans.

They're not like Florida Dems who are entirely incompetent, Texas Dems do have semblance of teeth but usually they find themselves tied to candidates who say or do something that turns off the more moderate Texans.

Like I know Dems as a party want common sense restrictions on guns but a Texas Dem cannot run on that in any capacity. Even following a Uvalde.

I don't see TX turning blue this time around. Give it another 30 years of Californians fleeing California and let's talk then.

You're conflating things. The TC is talking about the Democrat party in Texas. Saikyo is talking about Dem voters in Texas.
And it is a very well-known fact that the Democrat Party of Texas is incredibly incompetent. Buttigieg is doing a lot of the heavy lifting that the party itself should be doing.

I'm well past the point of blaming on the Democrat Party what should be blamed on the complacency, indifference, and willful ignorance of the voting base.

And in any case I have nothing but contempt for TC's irate crusade against calls for people to "vote harder" as they put it.

2018 was the first time since 1994 that the DNC meaningfully invested in Texas.

Texas had record turnout in 2018 and 2020, and those were the closest cycles in the state since 1994. It's almost like higher turnout is better for Democrats, which is exactly why the Texas Republican Party went all-in on massive voter suppression.

The Florida Democratic Party has at least won a statewide election since 1994.

When you can't beat comic book villains like Abbott and Paxton, you're incompetent. Period.

They win elections because Texans either approve of them or dont have the courage to stand up to them, especially if that means voting for Democrats.
