Elon is back on "Government Efficiency Commission". He is really struggling to control the "interview" in any meaningful way.

Elon keeps trying to push the government spending committee idea and Trump just brags about spending $4 bil on air force 1 planes because the original deal was $5.6 bil and he saved $1.6 bil because he's so good at making a deal (i.e. falling for the easiest sales trick in the book)

By the way, check out the Section 174 drama of 2022 to see how all rich tech people REALLY feel about Trump. It basically erased 90% of a typical software company's tax deductions, in order to pay for Trump's tax cuts from 2017. The increased tax revenue here was a huge part of balancing the massive cuts, and that's how they sold it to the fiscally conservative congresspeople. For example, Netflix would've paid $368 mil more a year starting in 2022. Many smaller startups would've just folded immediately. All the Trumper tech people got super pissed, and they didn't forget it.

Of course Biden repealed 174 (or pushed it back to 2025?), so the tax cuts ended up being straight deficit. But it also means that tech people know what's coming back if Trump comes back. Elon is the only one who has a non-monetary incentive to get Trump back in.

This might have been the worst thing to say to Elon. He's essentially saying that he'll protect Elon from the Epstein stuff if he loses by taking him overseas, but I very much doubt Elon wants that. Elon wants some guarantee that he'll be safe regardless of who wins, but Trump can't give that to him.
