You might surmise that a mouse that could be built to last forever that has "constant updates" might require some sort of business model for viability, but subscription doesn't seem to be what is being stated.... With that said, I suppose this kind of idea could work on the business level customers, if you are guaranteeing consistent updates, improvements, and replacements based on wear and tear.
