gamester_12345 08/18/24 11:08:39 PM #28:	The idea that Pokemon TCG Pocket exists kinda gives off a old-era Sega Technical Institute-deal with stuff like Sonic X-Treme. like sure, TCG Live exists, but that was more of a monetized version of a holdover game originally intended for the western audience-only, they infact made it worse with things like non-tradable booster packs and battle passes. but Pocket is apparantly more like speed duels? (you just know TPC-Japan would rather have TCG be in-house) Also didn't people datamine a image from Pokemon Unite, making people think that monthly passes might stop coming with new costumes? also free crystals expires? i would be a little surprised if older generation games came to NSO. mostly because honestly i generally assume Nintendo was initially generous due to the Premium NSO plan not existing at the time, i mean just think about it, with the basic NSO you get... Gameboy Games Gameboy Color Games Nintendo Entertainment System Games Super Nintendo Games NES games might be arguably kinda basic, but the GB and GBC games are arguably quantifyably chunky for what they are, due to the games not being segregated. with Premium you have SEGA games slapped on...with Gameboy Advance Games, and N64 games. with GBA you have the Mario Advance games which are good, however you have perfectly cromulent versions of the game within the basic plan, heck, Nintendo worked out the Argonaut Software/Super FX chip issues with the SNES Classic which meant people could play Yoshi's Island in a far superior version. A Link to The Past? Oracle of Ages/Seasons? Super Mario All-Stars?, Kirby's Adventure? Eartbound? only series i could say got it quite flatly would be Wario Land which only the 3rd game has appeared. in comparison, you have just about every main console and handheld kirby in the basic plan+Tilt N Tumble; and Kirby is a series that never really saw remakes (barring Super Star Deluxe, and Nightmare in Dreamland, the latter of which hasn't hit Premium). you may or may not be missing much with lack of Amazing Mirror and Crystal Shards. I think Nintendo just has no way to worm out of the deal behind their original exclusivity of content by platform. the only way Pokemon games could have some utility is if they're either saved for Switch 2, or they kneecap their usefulness on purpose. say, using emulator-side hacks to prevent Missingno in generation 1, or possibly preventing coin case glitch in western GS. you just definitely know that if they could allow a Mew or a Celebi, it'd probably be locked behind a MyNintendo quest that's time-limited, mostly to avoid having to use the 3DS-era rom patching for flag triggering. Mew probably going to be unobtainable to ensure there's still sales for BDSP and LGPE carts for old save bonuses. you know game freak are probably aware that the power glitches has in competitive VGC, but also in the approachability in existing products and legacy content. (namely Pokemon Transfer and Bank). they at least made a conscious avoision of Celebi and Victini in SW post-Indigo Disc, where they're non-transferrable, yet they purposely allow people to get the Horses (but no Calyrex), yet has Kubfu/Urshifu obtainable, they even added ingame key item scrolls to evolve to Urshifu. also Meloetta is base content for some reason. Predicting that trading w/old-generation Pokemon are going to be backended on the Pokemon HOME infrastructure as a convenient way for anyone to "complete their Pokedex on Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet versions", but lock the in-emulator way of trading pokemon to Premium. a good ending however is if they elect to use a NERD-Developed N64 Emulator specifically for the sake of allowing Worldwide usage, might be slightly hype for patch-in functionality for the original Pokemon Stadium mostly for people to experience the Nintendo Cup tournament modes in the west and the Poke Cup in japan. Maybe a western-sanctioned ROM edit of Red/Blue to throw in a plug for Green? however it'd come at the cost of disabling the gameboy towers in all versions of the game. looking on the internet, there's no mapper for the MBC1 in western releases, so a modded version of Red/Blue has to be used instead due to being MBC3. i have no idea how alternate character sets would function however, especially if its counting cross-country play. guess if they're really precise w/text scroll to prevent de-syncs? or Pokemon are formed with preliminary authentication data (mostly source+retain nickname) so Pokemon HOME can work? also maybe overlay names on the fly. Might be a massive overtaking for japan to also edit their versions of the GB games, probably a lot of baggage to handle if it's trying a worldwide competitive audience. Pokemon Stadium: Classic Cups (60hz Lua script patch JP, with preliminary ROM support, no trade or gameboy tower) Pokemon Stadium: Local Play (50hz vanilla Europe, 60HZ US and Japanese Release. no-patching on the fly) Pokemon Stadium: Online.
