The everyday term for that is more or less "lack of confidence" or "no self-esteem".

Sure, the reality often goes much deeper, as shown in the definition above, but in the end, that's what goes on all the time.

And when people say they have a "fear of failure" or "fear of getting rejected" and such, people will tell to work on your confidence anyways.

I think you assumed that big fancy word must specifically be a congenital mental disorder, but you can use those words for societally-induced mental issues, and tc never said it was a mental disorder in the first place.

I don't know if it reaches the level of that definition (because that sounds clinical), but this definitely is an issue for a lot of men, especially the type of men that frequent a place like CE.

Just take your shot guys, but do it in a respectful manner, and accept whatever response you receive.

But I also get it. All my dates were from dating apps, my social group, or a couple cases of women approaching me. Despite all that and it seeming obvious that I should have confidence, I still never just approached strangers myself. I was too scared.
