wackyteen 09/04/24 5:17:20 PM #1:	At a gas station. - Results (56 votes) Yes 37.5% (21 votes) 21 No, only in Oregon/New Jersey 16.07% (9 votes) 9 No, I have never had a gas station employee pump my gas 46.43% (26 votes) 26 I've never even bought gas 0% (0 votes) 0 Getting your gas pumped for you used to be a rather common thing, especially prior to the expansion of the convenience store model and ability to quickly/easily pay at the pump. My hometown had a gas station til like 2007 or so that was just 2 pumps and a little booth for the employees/cash where they pumped the gas for you. Don't think I've ever seen anywhere else that does. Though the one in my town was off the main road and if you saw it, you'd probably be forgiven for thinking it looked a little suspect. Thermador446 09/04/24 5:20:56 PM #6:	I used to live near one of the first few automated gas pumps. They needed a special cap, and apparently it didn't work well. Seems like it would be a good idea for cars that don't have gas caps. archizzy 09/04/24 6:12:17 PM #19:	While I have always pumped my own gas when I was younger like 40+ years ago most gas stations in my area of the Midwest still had a full service pump option where they would pump gas, check tire pressure, fluids, wash windshield, that sort of thing. A few of them were still real old style where as you pulled in and ran over the air line it would ding the service bell in the station.
