I don't care for either of them. Saw someone with tears in their jeans today literally from mid-thigh way down to mid-shin on both legs. Basically no front to the pants. What's the fucking point here?

That said, I think they look ridiculous but they don't really bother me.

I don't really care about worn jeans; they're just jeans. I never cared for sagging at all. I don't wanna see some rando's underwear. I often joke that they can't afford a belt.

My assless chaps have aged like a fine wine.

I think torn/worn down jeans are cool.

Actually I'd say I think jeans that are just plain blue without anything else going on look pretty bad. (Unless you are already hot, then they're hot because you're wearing them)

ok as a guy who lived in those times 2001-2005, I can say I always wear baggy jeans, i was the unapologetic Limp Bizkit fan.. this was my era this was my time...I know it's gay by todays terms but I was born in 87 so fuck ya's I'm limping with the bizkit lol

Neither ever bothered me. To be fair I used to have torn jeans when I was a wee child. I might even have a pair around here somewhere. But low hanging pants never bothered me and I grew up in an area where both styles were very prominent.
