The following adjustments have been made to the final boss of SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE

• Changed the action pattern when the battle starts.
• Adjusted some attack moves.
• Decreased the damage of some attacks.
• Decreased stamina damage of some attacks.
• Decreased the attack range of some non-weapon-based attacks.
• Improved the visibility of some attack effects.

Glad I beat it before the nerf

if you beat the dlc post patch you didn't get the true experience scrubs

• Decreased the damage of Backhand Blades against other players
• Decreased the damage of Spears dual wield attacks against other players.

good stuff. oh, and this one is neat:

• Increased the attack speed of the uncharged version of the first heavy attack for the following weapon types:

Dagger / Throwing Blade / Straight Sword / Great Sword / Colossal Sword / Heavy Thrusting Sword / Curved Sword / Twinblade Sword / Katana / Great Katana / Axe / Flail / Great Spear(Except Serpent-Hunter) / Halberd / Reaper / Whip (Except Urumi) / Hand-to-Hand Arts / Beast Claw.

no greataxes, because the greataxe r2 (uncharged) is fast as fuck already and almost as fast as the r1. i noticed other weapons weren't really in line with that so this is good.

also this is a big deal:

• Fixed a bug that could cause incorrect player motions to be performed when using lock-on for the following Skills.
• Wild Strikes / Spinning Strikes / Unending Dance

if this is what i think it is, this was the bug that got players to desync their lower halves from their top halves. which afaik is how bowglitching in ds3 was developed.

Maybe I can finally beat him now. It was ridiculous. Hand to hand weapons got a buff too. That makes me happy because my next character is going to be H2H based. Maybe have the turtle shell and go full Master Roshi.

I'm assuming by changing the attack patterns when the battle starts, he won't immediately Blitz you. If so, there's like a dozen other dlc bosses they should adjust that for

they nerfed him too hard...

also what the FUCK at the hand to hand weapons buff. were they not OP already? my dryleaf arts playthru was like, level 60 and i smoked thru the entire game and dlc with no diff. it was actually disgusting. youre telling me its STRONGER AND FASTER now??

im seeing this resurgence of huge lore radahn hate on reddit. "fraudahn" everyone is calling him, because they are upset he stalemated malenia then still wasnt killed by her blossoming. dude's a big deal. he's far from my favorite character, but it's clear he's in the upper echelon of elden characters. maybe close to or even in godfrey tier (tho that i doubt, cuz godfrey would clap everyone up to maliketh before losing i figure)

He will always be Chadahn to me.

I'm somehow both not great at the game and yet have beaten the main game twice and beat everything in the DLC except the final boss. I guess my summons, over leveling, and brute forcing my way through it carried me.

Finally. I was afraid that he wouldn't get nerfed at this point, so this is a relief.

I'm so disappointed he got nerfed. At least I get to say I beat him pre-nerf without blocking, summoning AI/spirits/players, and I did it as melee.

I'm getting pretty tired of games nerfing content. Doom Eternal was ruined for me because of casuals and now one of my favorite Elden Ring bosses too. I see this shit in indie stuff too every now and then so I can't even avoid it outside of AAA crap.

Well I only managed to beat him by spamming lions claw with a bleed weapon so Im not sure if the nerf would make a difference for me.

There should be an achievement for beating him prenerf huh

Consort was fucking nonsense. Even with a Greatshield that absorbed Holy and Pearl shield talisman, he did a lot of damage. NG+ was also really bad, I could never beat him with summons because the 20% damage buff made him even harder. Too many fast attacks and too much Holy split damage, it's no wonder a bunch of people just gave up and Turtle Poked him to death.
