Pretty much. They want everything privatized because that always goes so well for everyone. PMCs for rich to use like armies, toll roads everywhere, fire fighters who put out fires only if you're a subscriber, etc.

With the huge amounts of money they save from paying tax (*ahem*), they can pay for everything from infrastructure to ensuring that their food is safe to eat.

Seems like some of them just haven't thought it through. They just don't want to pay taxes and they don't understand or don't want to understand how many of the things they take for granted only are the way they are because of tax money paying for it.

Some of them do understand this stuff and propose things like eliminating income tax and instead having a national sales tax, which is about shifting a large portion of the tax burden off of the rich and onto the poor.

Most of the poor ones have bought into the bootstraps rhetoric and believe they don't actually use public resources (roads, police, mail, etc.) even though they use them on a daily basis.

The rich ones usually do understand, they just don't want it to be public because that means paying for poor people too instead of "got mine fuck you."

They would cut spending, but they also think a tax cut would boost the economy and therefore raise revenues, so it would pay for itself.

And that 0 taxes would provide infinite wealth. Or the most wealth.

Im not super fond of how much more the government started withholding from my checks after I got a better paying job, but I bite my tongue because I know the alternative would be a shit show in this country.
