Used to work at wendys during covid for a bit. Manager will get on you if you don't default to Large orders or ask for meal upgrades on every order, as well as offering a cookie.

i always just use a mobile order. i only go there when they have a decent deal going on. they been having 2 for $6 for the daves single, regular/spicy nugs and chicken sandwiches.

question for people that get the ghost pepper chicken sandwich. do they come with the crispy onion things or whatever they were still? i got those on the first 2 i ordered when they were new. last couple times i didn't get any from 2 different wendys. so dunno if they just been out and won't update the picture/description or what.

Can i get that small frosty for a dollar?
Also, when did they switch to plastic cups? I find that switch pretty backwards when they had paper cups before...

I answer with: Nah, I'll take a $5 Biggie Bag. Then I'll throw a Spicy Chicken on the side, just the sandwich.

Depending on the pricing at that Wendy's, it might be cheaper ordering that way than getting a numbered combo meal. Then you get the extra sandwich and chicken nuggets on top of the lower price.

My favorite is apparently in Aladdin, the titular character apparently says "Good teenagers, take off your clothes!" when he's being attacked by Rajah but he's actually saying "Good kitty, just take off and go!"

What I find hilarious about it is that a whole load of people believed it so much, that the line had to be taken out of the Disney+ version and other releases.

And also, why Aladdin? Of all people would ask teenagers specifically to take their clothes off? Like what's the long term game with that?

A colleague of mine that I once worked with used to believe that, along with the conspiracy theory that the Illuminati killed Michael Jackson because he refused to put subliminal Illuminati messages in his songs.

I mean if most of their orders are large combos why wouldn't they just shortcut the problem.

The idea is people who just order "a number 5" are going to default to large, which I assume (since they're pushing it) has a higher margin.

If they don't want to sell small or medium, they should just take them off the menu.

I've had it happen twice. I ordered for carryout, but the doors were locked. One of those times I walked, so I had to to return back home and get my car so I could use the drive thru.

I tune out anything other than "whatchu want", and say "double cheeseburger and a large fry".

Uh sorry this isn't a Wendy's.

#6 Spicy Chicken Sandwich is all I need

I haven't gone to Wendy's in a while but I never had them ask this.

back when I did go regularly they did always ask if I wanted a meal if I ordered a burger first, so I just started ordering the fries first. completely threw them off their game.

For what it's worth, I did get the spicy chicken sandwich.

Also, some more thoughts, Wendy's has always been sneaky with the up sells, they always used to say "medium or large?" after ordering a combo, conveniently leaving out the small option, even though it's there.

Now they're just straight up like "which giant combo do you want today?" It honestly did come off as bizarre and surprising.

I'm trying to maximize my time and pay, and my boss wants me to work harder for the same pay, just to line someone else's pocket i can't see? Pay me bonuses and we'll see if that is proper incentive.
