The Tesla powertrains seem to be very nice and the ability to order a car with no dealership bullshit is great, but the build quality of Tesla products is suspect. Compared to must cars, it seems like they are held together by duct tape. I'm also not a fan of there being virtually no physical buttons. Operating by touch screens are terrible because they are distracting when driving and it sucks if the software slows down or freezes up. Yeah there are definitely tradeoffs. Quality control can be hit and miss as well but I had no issues with my vehicle. I do for sure hate the touch screen almost everything but im also someone that can avoid those distractions and focus on safe operations. What really sold me on it was self driving and while not perfect its impressive and has had some big improvements in the few months ive had it. As long as you learn its strengths and weaknesses it makes driving a whole lot easier.
