Did you need much mental prep, or were you not afraid in the first place? Feel like I'd need to psych myself up.

It's really not as scary as it seems. Hanging off the side of the plane is the scariest part but mostly because you don't want to fuck up first thing lmao but after you're off shit is happening so fast you really don't have time to be scared. Everyone's different tho that's just how I felt lol

Thank you and thank you! It's a blast but I can see how it's not for everyone. My group included a 70 year old lady doing it for her first time. She was cool af

You can, but doing tandem with a more experienced jumper is obviously better.

Might want to try the indoor one. I've never done it but it seems kinda cool

I wasn't afraid at all up until I'm sitting on the side of the airplane about to jump out. And I wasn't really afraid of the height or whatever, just mostly afraid of doing the jump out right. Basically had to tilt my head all the way back, hold onto my shoulder straps and tuck my feet underneath the airplane. For some reason when i was in that my brain just kinda stopped working lol thankfully my tandem bud was super dope

Yeah I'd probably be scared if it were just me. We did flips and shit and dude was super cool. I do want to do a few solo ones now tho.

Did the same thing and my brain also stopped working.

Forgot to go into the free fall pose, so my thumbs were still in the harness when the chute released.

It was not comfortable.

I did it 12 years ago. The free fall goes over so quickly. Once I deployed the chute and floated down, that part was unexpectedly relaxing for me. And it was around then that I started to notice Oh yeah I guess it was cold up there. I can actively feel it warming up as I descend.

Just curious if any of those observations clicked with you as well.

Lol dude had to tap me 3 different times before I realized I could let go of my shoulder straps so I feel that.

Speaking of uncomfortable, my groin still hurts from the parachute deployment up until the landing. That and the ear pain are the worst parts imo.

The AC was blasting where we suited up and I was wearing a short sleeve shirt so I was already cold af. But once I got in the airplane I was actually pretty warm and I didn't really feel cold at all throughout the dive. I was a little concerned I'd be cold too lol

The freefall was super quick. There's an 18k one that I might do but idk that's probably just an additional 20 or 30 seconds

Yep, about 30 seconds. And youd likely need an oxygen setup then. They take you to 13,000 feet because you can still breathe normally from that height. Around 15,000 feet and you need oxygen.

Scariest part is the plane ride (because of the anticipation). As soon as you jump you'll feel amazing.
