Oh man. Musk has been promising full self-driving is less than a year away since like 2015. then he says owners of teslas will make money from their car by turning it into a robotaxi. Now hes throwing an event tomorrow night unveiling teslas: robotaxis. Why does he need to unveil a robotaxi if his cars he already sold were going to be the robo taxis. musk famously opted for a camera only approach to Self-driving cars forgoing additional sensors like lidar. Cadillac Super Cruise surpassed Tesla self driving years ago. The main reasons to buy a Tesla now is the long range model and the charging network. And acceleration I guess, but what's the point when a base model luxury car will pass you after the 1/4? Elon is such a loser. I had a coworker who tried to impress us by showing off his new Model 3's ability to park itself. It went forward and reverse a few times before making a beeping noise and giving up.
