I did that with Gotcha Force a couple years ago. My Gamestop was selling it for $10. And the guy before me was trading in his copy for $2.25. Bought the last 3 copies and the one the other dude traded in. And flipped them for $500 each.

Looking back I probably should have told the dude to not trade in the copy sell it online. Like give a general blanket statement on trading in Games to Gamestop. But then that would have tipped off the Gamestop employee of their fuck up or probably made employee less likely to give me those last Gotcha Force copies.

Also got Lightning Collection Morphers I got to offload. Got them on clearance for like 25 bucks or so and those are selling for double on eBay, high as 60 for pink and yellow. But the primary one with all 6 is going for 80 ish and I got mine for Iike 30 after pro discounts but I actually want that

Two more. Blue isnt sealed so that probably isnt gonna go up until after the game sells out. Maybe Ill play it and buy the time I finish it sells at a higher price, Xseed tends to do well when that happens.

And I might actually got one more location to go through and then after that, Im gonna go home guaranteed. So far Im looking at about $150 in profit after maybe two hours work . going to the only retro game in my state and seeing if they have anything.

Thanks for understanding. Also to those ego talked smack Im out of work until November due to cochlear implant infection thats required two surgeries thus far and require another to reimplantation in the next two weeks or so. God forbid I make a few bucks.

It makes sense that it does. Drug dealing generally only deals in one subject. Scalping can be in multiple avenues and generally stems from buying too many things to attempt to rip people off down the road.

Drug dealing in some instances is less scummy than scalping hilariously enough.

There's a lot of options besides scalping. The reason why people hate them is the same reason they hate corporate higher ups: Creating and furthering scarcity to profit is a scummy business.

End of the day at least this is video games and nothing of real importance.

It also applies to Christmas gifts, though I guess that little thought never crossed your mind. You have someone who has been saving because they know their loved one really wants to play this game but they don't have a lot of money. So they go to gamestop, its sold out. So they go on Facebook marketplace, craigslist or kijiji only to find out that the copy they could have had is being sold for triple even quadruple the price. It's part of the reason why value stores pricing is all screwed up. They are following Ebay listings of games that should be sold at 20/30 dollars and seeing them listed for 150 and then listing them at their store for that price. No one benefits.

I'd have more respect for you if you kept the games for yourself. At least then I'd know you weren't screwing others over. As for the money bit, we all have money problems. We just find better ways to fix that.

Looks like they're selling slow on ebay. Last one sold for $140 2 days ago, minus $20+ in fees so that person got a <$30 profit. Good luck doing better locally where there will be way less people willing to pay double $85.
