just wanted to hear some feedback on this before i consider getting it.

since i've never played any AC game, is it accessible for newcomers like myself?

Fast paced mech combat, highly customizable, great story and characters

How tough is that game compared to the Souls games? Cant decide if I should get this, SH2R, or Metaphor.

Armored Core 6, in many ways, is the game that I've always wanted out of the franchise (large, open areas, ammo refills mid-mission, a quick dodge/boost, shoulder cannons not requiring a stationary firing stance, etc). It is extremely welcoming to new players because it has zero baggage and plenty of modern design sensibilities.

The game has a hefty challenge to it, but you can generally brute force your way through any difficult spots by trying new AC configurations with no penalties.

It's easier than past installments. Money isn't really an issue anymore and you can switch stuff as you see fit.
If you like mech games and don't mind difficult boss battles, you'd like it.
Also, you normally can restart a mission near the boss if you get to it. The only downside is if you leave the mission you start from the beginning, but you can switch gear up and keep trying the boss, iirc.

I would say it's mostly a lot easier, but even the difficult parts are a bit less frustrating. It's not structured like a Souls game at all, you don't have to run from a bonfire to the boss room every time you lose, you just reload from the checkpoint at the cutscene before the fight and try again.

I loved it, it was my first Armored Core game. Ended up getting all the achievements, which is something I don't normally do (to be fair, the only one that required more effort was the 'S Rank' achievement).

It can be difficult (I struggled with the second boss), but once you understand the mechanics and can recognize where enemy fire is coming from/how to avoid it, you can make it through.

I mean the series is all over the place in terms of difficulty, you've got Silent Line and For Answer being the easiest games by far and then there's ones like Last Raven and VD on the opposite end of the spectrum

i played a couple of missions and so far this game is fun as hell for sure!

also love all the customization options available!

btw, is it possible to share mech designs online? like uploading your own preset configurations and downloading others.

that would be a cool ass feature! >_>
