Azure Dreams maybe? Usually I go with Arcanum, but I'm fairly sure that has come up in other topics and at least one other person here has played it.

I remember enjoying Kartia, but I also remember literally nothing else about it.

I also remember really liking Thousand Arms, but I also barely remember anything about it beyond the basic premise.

7th Saga was good, but it's not really that obscure. Plenty of people have played it, and even more people have heard of it.

That's probably it. Most of my favorite RPG series are all either fairly popular or at least pretty well known. Whether JRPGs like Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Suikoden, or .hack//, or WRPGs like KotOR, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age. I'm not a huge RPG hipster (and honestly, I kind of went off pure JPRGs years ago), not helped by the fact that most mainstream RPGs these days are kind of crap.

Anachronox. Not sure how obscure it is nowadays, but I don't think I ever engaged anyone in a conversation about it online or offline. Even the super rare games I played as a kid, I could find at least one person willing to discuss it with me. Not this one though.

Shadows of Adam

Aidyn chronicles, not that obscure since it was like 1 of the 5 or so rpgs on n64.

On PotD? Monster Girl Quest: Paradox. Pretty deep party-based RPG with the veneer of a horni game. Every character (there's gonna be 800+ in part 3 that releases a week from now) has unique characteristics, can learn all 200+ jobs and about 5-30 of the 200+ races, there's endgame progression reminiscent of Disgaea's item world and equipment progression sort of like a Diablo game but possibly way more busted, and it's horni. Also the plot and music kick ass.

I would be surprised if a single person played it here, even if a few played the original trilogy back in the day.

Probably a toss up between Sands of Destruction, Nostalgia, & Glory of Heracles, all of them JRPGs from the Nintendo DS (my god that console had a lot of JRPGs).

Across the Obelisk (co-op RPG deckbuilding roguelite, like a mix between Darkest Dungeon + Slay the Spire)

I wouldn't say it's incredibly obscure, just very underrated.

I enjoyed Opoona and Unepic.

Septerra Core is probably the most obscure one I played. It's a shame so many missed it.

Plenty of people have played it who have a Sega Saturn, but that's not a ton of people. Game is Shining the Holy Ark

Played and beaten all three. Two I borrowed, Nostalgia I actually own.

I suspect most RPGs I have actually enjoyed have other players and perhaps fans. I am very fond of Shining in the Darkness which is at best semi-obscure. Especially compared to...

Monster Racer. It's basically Pokemon, except the monsters race instead of fight.

Ultima: Worlds of Adventure 2: Martian Dreams

Realms of Antiquity: The Shattered Crown. I am confident no one has played it because its sales figures were in the double digits.
