Well that's fine. If I'm looking for a video of something why wouldn't I want YouTube in my results?

boxer_87 said "If I actually want videos I'll search on YT itself, thank you very much." I was agreeing and saying, yeah, if I want videos I'll or else I'll just use the video tab that Google gives us. Why is Google filling our searches with videos when they even have a separate tab for video searching?

Youtube's search engine is absolute crap. You can't exclude keywords.

I've tried other search engines and I don't like their results either. They just miss things too.

If I had to pick a second search, it'd probably be Bing.

I once searched a DnD question on Google, and the answer was supposed to include a 4d4 roll. The AI told me it was forty four.

AI is dumb.

As much as it sucks to say, almost all search engines are terrible these days.

AI chat bots are the "new Google" and tend to be much more effective, whether this is artificial (as in search engines are deliberately sabotaging their results) or not.

At this point I feel most people are better off using DuckDuckGo or Ecosia's chatbots.

Its literally the first result you see when Googling on mobile. Every time.

If you have enabled Google's AI, yes.

Turn it off.

You can do that?

Turn off "Search Personalization" under settings at "www.google.com"

Settings being in the bottom right hand corner. (Not under your account in the top right).

I don't think I can do that. My only settings button is in the top right. Then there's the doodle, with the search bar under it and a trillion articles it thinks I want to read below that. At the bottom of all those, there's still no settings button.

Oh wait. I have to actually go to google.com. I always thought that WAS google.com instead of just some browser built-in page.
