Honestly I am fucking obsessed with this track. If you're on TikTok (I know you're not), you're already familiar with it because it's been everywhere for months. From a engineering angle, it's really cool how the three vocal tracks play together, and lyrically it's the gayest thing I've ever fucking heard, but like in the best way.

Adrianne is probably the best thing happening in American folk music right now and even if she's super hyped up, she's still criminally overrated. I genuinely believe Allison is going to blow the fuck up in the next couple years. Very Taylor Swift-tinged country that people love, just much gayer. I absolutely love her voice and although her discography right now is super small, it's all incredibly song. This track though is almost impossible to find; this is the only version I could find on Youtube, it's not officially released anywhere and it's a damn shame. As a queer person who, although not from Texas (though a lot of my family is), is from a small rural area and wasn't able to be myself in the slightest until I left, this song is crushing. "Everywhere isn't Texas/it's the only place you know/but that don't make it home" immediately makes me tear up.

I've been obsessed with this band lately; their presence is just infectious, their songcrafting is flawless and they're just good vibes. They are the exact band you'd think you'd end up with a bunch of sapphic art school grads. Also Abigail (the vocalist) is the exact kind of woman that would have egg me question if I just liked her or if I wanted to be her (it's the latter)

Sapphic is used in a far broader way than lesbian, crossing the gender binary and centers around attraction through the female gaze.

Lesbian refers strictly to homosexual women. Sapphic refers to femmes attracted to other femmes, which encompasses a wide variety of gender and sexual identities.

What she is saying is that "sapphic" is also inclusive of bisexual/pansexual women, and nonbinary people who nonetheless feel female-aligned in some sense or another and also are attracted to women or people like themselves, among other people who live in that space.

Whereas "lesbian" is more restrictive: it requires exclusive attraction to women. (And, depending on who you ask, that excludes nonbinary people who nonetheless lean feminine and trans women.)

"Femme" is often used as a term in the same way as "feminine" is. Someone who is femme (usually, but not always) identifies as female, and is (usually) presenting feminine. Which is, again, usually more inclusive of nonbinary/trans people than simply saying "women" or whatever.
