this is legitimately one of the most baffling things i've ever read. Like if you don't like the music in the game in general, it's already weird but you know, not your taste, fine. But the GBA music is just a flat downgrade in quality??

I was skeptical of the PR at first, but apart from one or two soundtrack missteps it's now the definitive version of my all-time favorite game; a few little small tweaks actually gave me a greater appreciation of songs that I didn't care as much for previously. I no longer have any desire to waste time on a version of the game that fucks up the soundtrack syncing of the ending sequence vignettes.

The extra espers and endgame challenge was nice for a time, but at this point it's not worth it. I generally dislike post-credits content in story-driven games, and for this game it's borderline sacrilege; once the ending credits roll, my FF6 playthrough is done.
