Meh, given the general statistics surrounding dating & birth rates, this would change almost nothing. Most dating sites & apps already report such a disproportionate M/F balance, that many of the female profiles are fake. Birth rates are consistently declining in most developed nations. If the most frequent dating statistics can be trusted, dating is already a depressing enough endeavor for young men that most have already given up on it, never been in a relationship, & have no hope of ever getting one; the subject of male loneliness comes up often enough that the notion that 80% of women are dating the same 20% of men, probably has more credibility than most people would like to admit. Divorce & child custody are so comically biased against men, that many already fear marriage & children. The men most accused of supporting Trump are "incels", meaning things will be no different from before, in this scenario. The only men this will seriously affect are the mid-tier guys who actually do support Democrat, because most women are not going to hold the 'S' tier attractive guys to these barriers.

Good for them. It's what I thought would be a powerful statement. Because, what can they do against it? If language won't work for making the case for womens' rights, then, get more creative.

This will be a lot less effective in the US than in South Korea. South Korea is a single entity with a large population crowded into a geographically small urban environment. The liberal women and conservative men are much more intermixed.

In the US, on the other hand, is much more divided and segregated between urban liberals and rural conservatives. Conservatives men mainly live in conservative states and districts where there are plenty of conservative women. Men in these communities will just see this movement as vindication for their current mindset.

And the smaller percentage of concervative men who do live in left wing areas are largely unnaffected as well, as most of those kinds of men are already blackpilled incels or MGTOW.

I think it will just change the demographic. Conservative culture will simply spread because it will be conservative folks that will look to have families because conservative men will go for the conservative woman, and the culture and values will be passed on.

Hell, there would be a cruel irony that there might be a chance of rethinking about immigration for the sole fact of bringing conservative immigrants and be the death knell of Progressivism. Hell, the right already got the support of the Latinos anyway.

The only ones that will be hurt will be liberal men that will be caught in the crossfire and be punished for shit that was beyond their control.

Agreed. Hypothetically, if a large enough number of women were to follow that path, it would precipitate societal collapse, undermining welfare more severely than almost anything else -- hence a blow for the progressives more than the conservatives (i.e., halting childbirth) as the poster above me noticed. Though Im not from the U.S., I come from a country grappling with immense pressure on its pension and tax systems due to declining birth rates, and there are already a good number of reasons that are tied to women choosing to prioritize other things, without simply being principled about the idea of dating.

That being said, I remain skeptical about such a movement's capacity to transform the mindset of the average woman, or a majority of women. My impression is that it will mainly draw women -- perhaps on the younger side of the demographics -- who already feel unfulfilled or struggle to find a suitable partner, seeking validation through the cause. Perhaps similarly to what happens with some young men. Opting for an ascetic lifestyle for meaningful reasons is one thing, but if the motivation is "I'm unhappy with election results, so I'll abruptly cease anything romantic in my life" it's a pretty weird knee-jerk reaction.

It's just my first impression of the 4B movement based on what I saw on the subreddit.

I think choosing to be celibate and abstaining from romantic relationships with men is valid, though I don't think it'll have much effect on elections in the US for reasons I mentioned before. But the kinds of posts I kept coming across in the 4B subreddit gave me pause.

I'll be 30 next year and would like to find a good man to fall in love and start a family with, but I feel like it's going to be even harder now than it was before. Especially down here in Oklahoma where most people are... you know. It's awful knowing that so many men that are my age voted for dump. It's a massive turn-off. But there are still good men in the U.S., they're the diamonds that are hidden amongst the rock and coals. I can see why a lot of women would consider this movement.
