I dont understand how UGA drops 11 spots after a road loss to a top 20 team??? Bama drops 4 or 5 (don't remember) to an unranked lower tier team. There are other examples...too lazy to type out. Doesn't matter, Georgia has to win out to get in. Their road schedule was pretty brutal. Season hinges on the Tennessee game which thankfully is at home --- The Vectrex was before it's time ... I feel like it's Groundhog Day every single CFB season when somebody complains about a team being higher ranked than another team because they beat them with the same amount of losses. Every single ranking ever has always looked at more than just head to head Bama lost to Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Tennessee lost to Arkansas and Georgia. Bama has wins over currently ranked Georgia, South Carolina, and Mizzou. Tennessee has wins over currently ranked Bama and uhhhh gimme a minute........that's all I got Additionally, the only team that Tennessee has beaten with a winning record as of today other than Alabama is literal FCS team Chattanooga (6-5). Every other W they have is to a .500 team or below. Also Bama's cupcake FCS team Mercer is ranked in their league at 9-2, can't say as much about Chattanooga Every year it's the same shit when it comes to complaining about rankings jesus --- Roll Tide & Go Irish ... We're all going to have to get used to a more holistic approach to rankings. About Alabama v Tennessee specifically, Alabama has performed better over the course of the season. Both teams have a bad loss, both teams have a loss to another contender (with Tennessee looking a bit worse in their loss). Alabama has been more impressive against the mid-tier teams than Tennessee.
