Getting really depressed by all the negativity lately.

I tried giving Origami King a shot. I knew it was controversial, but why not. Im enjoying it. Its a very simple game but its cozy and looks really nice. I kind of like the battle system, and if i get bored, they are skippable anyway. I know some people hate that, but its relaxing.

Sonic Generations came out and blew my expectations away. The Shadow portion is the best Sonic has ever been, and is absolutely what everything since Adventure has been building up to. The controls are nearly perfect, the sense of speed is there, the obstacle course multiple path gameplay is even better than generations. Goin through a stage without even touching the ground seems very possible in many levels. playin it in 60fps is nice, it looks really good.

mario party Jamboree is a good surprise. I like the boards, but the best part are the Bowser modes. You can play these wi5 many, many players. There is also a ranking mode of you want to get competitive. I havent been into MP since 6, so this was nice to experience.

I have pet bugs. I gave them some fish flakes and they all ated them :D

I will counter by saying I don't think there is enough negativity, I can still enjoy a video game despite what's going on but we are arguably in the worst timeline right now especially if you live in the USA.

already lost 2 family members this year, i don't need another one lost.

and to top it off. the apartment manager is trying to rid of my uncle's car which is parked in my spot. it's still in probate gawd damnit it'll get removed soon.

i don't want to act against him as i don't want to risk getting evicted and sent to an adult home :(.

i've been on vacation for about a week and it's been fantastic over here, having a great time

Farming Simulator 25 comes out on Tuesday and I'm quite happy about that. I know it is just a simulation games but for whatever reason it is a series that captured my heart like 10 years ago roughly and I just love it. I wrote a big topic post about it here on the PS5 board

And I recently had a reminder post here on CE. Haha yeah I'm still a huge gaming nerd that gets excited at game releases and I'm 48 years old and still like a kid on Christmas when a game I love comes out.

Seriously with all the depressing shit it is so nice to just zone out and go a little zen with my farming.

Well despite having to have my first finger poke for blood sugar analyzed, results are reassuring. And despite some room for improvement, my teeth are in better condition to the point that the dental cleaning wasn't lengthy.

But besides giving myself a breather from the heavy discussions, just working out more for some health. My brief walks down and back up hill aren't too tiring.

Silo season 2 drops on the 15th and i'm pretty jazzed about that. i'm going to rewatch season 1 in preparation. although i was trying to get my folks on board with checking it out because i'm so lonely and miserable and feel so disconnected and i just want to enjoy a piece of media with other people for a change instead of watching everything by myself, but they aren't really going for it because they don't think they'd like it. so i guess i'm gonna watch it by myself, i dunno.

i also just now ran across some news that The Orville season 4 is in pre-production. the news broke back in August apparently, so i have no idea how i'm not hearing about it until now. but either way, yeah, that's fucking awesome to hear too.

Silo is a pretty good show I am hoping the 2nd season is just as good as the first.

My birthday was over the weekend and it coincided with a bunch of my VR friends renting a couple of party houses for the past week for a big music festival that happens every year around now.

I'm happy with how my YouTube channel is doing. I was kind of feeling down about it for a while, but I feel like I'm hitting something resembling a stride for such a niche subject.

I was shopping on Saturday, just lazy casual stuff. Unshaven, floppy hair, wearing trackies.

When I got back to my car, there was a young kid taking photos of it. He said he loved that type of car. So, I asked him to get his parents (turned out he was with his grandad instead) and then invited them to have a seat, kiddy can open the roof up if he wants.

The young lad was super happy and off he went taking photos whilst I was speaking to his grandad. He worked in the same industry I work in, and we spent half an hour talking shop. We went our separate ways with a handshake and a tiny voice saying "I'll follow you!" Obviously meaning on social media, which I'm not really that invested in.

As I drove away I smiled, thinking I'd made a young lad's day, and also seeing the years fade away in grandad's face when he was recalling his working days. My favourite quote was from the kid, "wow I should ask Grandad about some more stories!"

Cost me nothing more than half an hour talking about engineering (which I'd do anyway) and hopefully gave two people, three generations apart, a little positivity in their day.

Saw a shooting star last night

Seen a couple in my life, but I was reminded of how long its been since I had seen one. Caught it out the corner of my eye while driving, a line of light drawing up against the darkness for a second before it disappeared. Took me out of the normalcy of the world and made me feel like I was a bearer of some kind of special secret. It felt sweet like a tiny kiss on the cheek >_>

I'm going to be an aunt soon. My brother's daughter is expected to be born tomorrow and it's incredible news.

I have a girlfriend and she's done a lot to help me come out of my shell. I've been exploring my tastes and sexuality a lot with her. We talk and hang a lot and provide lots of support to each other.

I recently got a small raise at my job. I'm making more than everyone else in the kitchen (including the shift leads) and soon will be begin my training for a promotionwhich comes with another raise!

A lot of neat games have been coming out this year. Lots of cool indie puzzle games in particular, and lots of other indies that have gorgeous worlds to explore.

Also, one is solid black except the tips of his left front paw toes, which are white.

My dad and stepmom had bunnies for a time in the 2000s. First one was named Harley because they like the Harvey Davidson motorcycles. My dad even told my brother and me about getting a Harley.
