Could be fake but you know darn well some of this is happening somewhere. I personally have a cousin who is non binary with divorced parents who both voted for Trump. They want nothing to do with their parents anymore understandably and I reached out to them with my support.

I think it is absolutely important to make these dickheads feel the guilt. If they complain that we aren't showing up to Thanksgiving or such anymore, they can sit in their own filth and think about why. We hate talking politics with them. We hate people hating us for just doing and being what we are. And what do they do? Blame us for not being 'tolerant' of them and that 'the election is over so just forget it'..... It's like 'bitch, if it was pre-election again, you'd STILL vote for him'.

I'm glad people are cold shouldering family. I've told my friends that they are more family than my own blood, and it's true. If you don't love me, I don't love you. Simple. And I will forever see my close friends as family. Don't need blood family when you have true family.

Well, there's a topic up right now where AOC asked her followers why they voted for her and Trump. And the responses are scary. It's like people don't think one step ahead or think that politicians lie.

So many people legit believed that Project 2025 wouldn't happen, despite the warnings, all because Trump said he didn't know what it was.

Dems voted for Trump based on things that weren't true, like him being better for Gaza or him being like AOC (wtf?)

Dems know what happened in 2016-20. How badly Trump bungled Covid. Yet they still voted for Trump or sat out.

What more could the DNC/Kamala done to reach out/educate when they have willfully ignorant constituents?

Heck, one person complained that Kamala was more about rights than the economy.

Divorce Lawyers say their workload has increased more after the election, and November is usually a slow month for divorces.

I firmly believe that a brainwashed, lazy electorate is the problem here, not the Dems. And of course, I blame the GOP for the 50 years they have spent corruptly brainwashing them and creating a universe of alternative facts on purpose to retain power.

I wish I thought the problem was Democratic messaging or candidates, because then there would be a way to fix the problem. But I do not think that. I think our electorate is broken and ignorant beyond hope. There is no fix for that.

I genuinely don't want my coworkers who are about to retire and were talking about how they expect Trump to do "great things" for social security the other day to be surprised with what the actual plan is. I hope it all fails. I hope Trump is as largely ineffective as he was last time. Most Trump supporters have no clue what his administration actually wants to do.

My aunt was at our shop yesterday, and she's the most hardcore Trump loyalist I've met so far. She was asking Mom if she had seen "Damn-ocrats" refusing to visit family over the election. She was mockingly saying things like "Oh no, I don't have to listen to your stupidity during the holidays? How awful."

It was so hard to keep quiet, but there were literally 5 Trump supporters there. I actually lied to keep them from finding out that I voted for Harris, to avoid confrontation, but now I feel scummy for hiding it.

Most of my family are democrats, with a few not so much supporting Trump, but have no problem with him being president, because they believe their business does better. .

My b rother in laws job is to organize meetings , for businesses to make deals or what not.
He's basically the middle man, and he does not like Trump what so ever, but when the economy crashes, and or Trump closes the border to non citizens , or whatever chaos he unleashes, my brother in law will be losing money like crazy if he cant travel to the US to perform his job. He thinks it will be bad, but he does not believe it will be nearly as bad as I explained.

My father who is a staunch democrat, didnt even believe me when I toldw him Trump wants to fuck his own daughterr.... If I tried to tell him what Trump was planning, he wouldw think I AM the one that is crazy. He also is a Democrat and has a good heart, but does not believe that Trump will be that much different from last time or from other Republican Presidents. (No he did not vote for Trump.)

There are a few people in my family that dont really care one way or another, but every time Trump is brought up, they always start talking about how at least the economy will be better under Trump.

I can't really talk to them about Project 2025, because like most people, they think it's propaganda and do not take it seriously. They think the next few years is just gonna be same old same old.

So now I made it clear, if they want to talk about Trump, let me know in advance and I wont participate in the family event. I have no interest in trying to provide clarity only to be looked at like I am the foolish crazy person, and I will not sit there and listen to them repeat the same garbage I hear from MAGA.

Thankfully it's only a few people that actually dont mind trump, and most of my family does hate Trump but are just too ignorant of politics to realize just how much worse he actually is.

So I can not imagine having to deal with a family of ACTUAL TRUMP supporters or MAGA.
