Realistically I'll probably end up deleting this too if it doesn't get much play because it fills hella awkward to just post my picture into nothingness, but;

Most of my transition honestly has been just...playing it safe. I've boymoded through most of it, and even went I started really making an effort to embrace a more feminine aesthetic, it's been through relatively safe style choices and clothes that realistically were already my style.

I have an aesthetic that feels authentic in my head, and I don't normally try to achieve it. Definitely not "it"; I need a lot more tattoos and a couple more piercings for that, but it's an attempt.

I really want to be self-critical because that's just how I've been for 37 years, but I dunno, I feel like this is one of the best pictures I've ever taken even if it's not aesthetically so.

I've always lowkey wanted to do the two-color thing to my hair, though I can never decide on what colors to pick. (Plus, y'know, hair damage and all - my hair's a dark brown.)

honestly as long as you're using quality product and not just overbleaching the fuck out your hair, any damage would be minimal.

but that's why the good lord invented wigs!

this is from back in September but is pretty representative of my style from like, my second month on HRT until like, month 9? Cropped tee, usually baggy or ripped pants, a pair of Docs and my hair up in a ponytail. Usually an appearance from my demon vest too.

were definitely letting the femme sneak in but definitely more masc than Id like.

Id certainly love to have natural hair that long and my current goal is just growing it out as long as I can, but I dont see that being particularly realistic with my hair type. Extensions could be fun but theyre expensive, and Id want to learn more about maintenance and style before I make the investment.

but yeah that's actually one of the reasons I've been really trying to publicly document my transition in a couple different places because while yeah I think trans visibility is important and the thought of maybe being the cause of someone's egg cracking and becoming themselves is really fun, I also want to make a concentrated effort in redefining how I see myself. and a lot of that is honestly just exposure therapy and realizing no one else sees the shit I do.
