I was 28 when I moved out. My friend was 37. If it saves you money by all means do it.

I live with my Mom. But, in my defense it's my house. I pay a mortgage.

I think I'd literally go insane moving back in with them. My step dad is hard of hearing and they have their TV on NewsMax full blast all day. There's no carpet so it echoes throughout the whole house.

Just turned 30 and I still live with my mom. Rent in NJ is insane so I almost don't have a choice.

Ain't no way. I moved out in my senior year of high school. Nothing against my parents, but I was just ready to be on my own. That being said I wouldnt think less of anyone for living with parents for whatever length of time they choose to. (As long as you're being productive and doing your part. Also as long as your parents actually want you there...lol. )I just personally was always ready to be independent.

Its more like they live with me but my parents spend most their time with my sister and her kids then take a break from them with me whenever they want. Sometimes they spend 3 days with me, other times its 3months.
Parents want to spend time with their grandkids but my sister yells at them for shouting at her kids...all the time. Its a cycle of communication

Nah. I moved out young pretty much the first opportunity that I got.

I get that everyone's situation and priorities are different, but for me, I couldn't even imagine spending my 20s living with my parents, let alone beyond that. My home life growing up wasn't even that bad, I just didn't want to live with my parents if I didn't have to.

Just turned 34 this year, still living with my parents, and have neither capability nor desire to change that. I lived on my own for a few years while I was in college and it was the most miserable experience of my life. (I won't say it's because I was living on my own, but I won't say it wasn't either~)

This. I always wanted to live on my own even though my dad was just fine. He was always working or sleeping. I yearned to be on my own though. Moved out my senior year of high school at 17 and that was 31 years ago.
