I will say that topics like this are somewhat heartening (relatively speaking given the topic at hand) that there are still plenty of sane posters still on CE. The mistake Democrats and even many on this board make is the false idea that the average American follows politics like we do.

The average American has the memory of a goldfish, and can't even tell you a single beneficial bill passed under the Biden administration. We have people on our own side that cant name 3 beneficial bills that passed under his administration, but can easily do Republicans a favor by promoting all of the imperfections.

The average American can't even name the 3 branches of government, and what powers they have let alone what Project 2025 entails.

So ya, the people asking how bad could it really get, it should be severely grilled in by now that they are unaware of how bad it could get. It should never be assumed these people are aware of what they voted for.

Just got finished watching a video about the ACA/Obamacare, and more and more I'm of the opinion Democrats need to message way better. We need to stop assuming the average American follows Project 2025, or what Obamacare is, or knows what Trump has done, or what Republicans are attempting to do.

Democrats frankly suck at messaging. They just do.

Republicans frankly are better at messaging. So great, they are able to convince average Americans to vote against their own interests. They are even able to convince a portion of our side to stay home or grade our own primary picks on a curve for not being pure or perfect enough.

Look at Obamacare. Reports are coming out that a bunch of Trump voters had no idea that Obamacare and the ACA are the same damn thing. Why? Because Republicans spent the last decade plus demonizing Obamacare. Why? Because they know the ACA despite its flaws is still highly favored. So now we have some Trumpers shocked, and just learning ACA is Obamacare begging for it not to be repealed. Some are STILL unaware the thing they like.... ya you just voted for it to be removed.

Republicans are playing chess in marketing to the average voter while Democrats over here figuring out how to play checkers.

The average American voter does not follow politics nor understand basic government. Shit, our own side doesn't have a full grasp on it. Our side needs a better marketing team.

I mentioned that because whenever I see opinions about politics over the globe, the fault of the left or the center-left seems to be extremely similar. What DNC is suffering is pretty similar to another country.

It is also the image (although message and image goes in hand-in-hand). The image of the modern left is not blue collar worker fighting for unions but the sanctimonious college karens that wants to scold everyone.
