I have the Q990D soundbar and I don't understand anybody who can hate on them unless they're super audiophiles, but audiophiles are hella annoying in general https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-11-1-4ch-Soundbar-HW-Q990D-AppleTV/dp/B0D6STM1BX --- Roll Tide & Go Irish ... Copied to Clipboard!

my understanding is that Sonos is expensive, but convenient. i haven't paid attention to prices since i bought mine, but my Denon receiver + Bower & Wilkins 7.1 setup is pretty awesome. i've heard the best compromise on enhanced sound quality and price is a good soundbar. but i have no experience with them. --- I hope something good happens to you today Playing: Chained Echoes ... If you're looking on the cheap, a sound bar is defo the way to go. If you're spending four figures, I'd get a proper surround system. --- Fan of metal? Don't mind covers? Check out my youtube and give me some feedback http://www.youtube.com/sircaballero ... Copied to Clipboard!

[LFAQs-redacted-quote] To be fair, audiophiles are the sorts of people that will pay thousands for a slightly better setup that most people cannot distinguish. I wouldn't go to us for value for money. A sound bar is ultimately a compromise. The drivers are generally small, stereo separation isn't particularly great until you're spending decent money, it can't be upgraded or modified as time goes on and I've never heard one do particularly good surround sound when compared to proper setups in similar price ranges. However, they're physically smaller, they're less hassle due to way less cables which also makes the setup simpler and they're still a vast improvement on built in speakers. Also way easier to try out, you can go to any electronics store and listen to them in person and see what you like. --- Fan of metal? Don't mind covers?
