Hopefully all of the crappy Elonmobiles get banned in Europe eventually

Here in the UK lots of wannabe rich arseholes rent out teslas and they give BMW drivers a run for their money in terms of being the shittiest drivers on the road.

There was just a deadly accident in my city where 5 people in a Tesla all died as the car caught fire

my understanding is they have electronic door locks and in an emergency its not intuitive to find the emergency door release. and electric vehicles in general are more prone to dangerous fires

Trump put Elon in charge of "government efficiency." He won't need to lobby for the NHTSA to be gutted because he can do it himself with the stroke of a pen.

Not surprised.
seen videos of teslas having a lot of mechanical issues and the fact that it needs to be updated to sort them out is ridiculous.

literally no vehicle roadworthy or not needs to be updated. The vehicle should of been manufactured to its fullest potential from the get go.

What's really going to be funny is watching Elons reaction to if/when that federal EV tax credit goes away. Which Trump has promised.

Trump's also promised tariffs on things manufactured in China, which Teslas are. Elon's going to get exemptions in both cases.

Had my first ride in a Tesla a few weeks ago. Taxi from the airport.

Interior is very bland, and the ride wasn't as comfortable as I expected from a car in that class, but otherwise it was OK. Vastly prefer the Merc that took me there.

DOGE is a glorified focus group with no real authority, although Trump could certainly take some actions based on whatever they recommend.

This is my concern with my (non-Tesla) car where it's a push button to open and the manual open where you pull on it twice isn't very intuitive

The article is hard for me to follow. Its saying the Tesla wasnt in the top 5 rate of deadly accidents while the title says its the highest? And its from years where the Tesla wasnt on the market yet?

Rode in one going to the airport in NOLA.

The ride gave me motion sickness. The worst ride in a vehicle I've ever been in.

my understanding is that it says other brands have models in the top 5, but Tesla has two models on the list (S, Y) it takes the top spot for 'brand with most fatalities per miles driven'.

the data was taken: "Analyzing fatal collisions from 2017 to 2022 involving 2018-2022 car models". Tesla S and Y models were out during that time.

how is the chart done, cuz, like, it seems like the Hyundai Venue is the worst car... but they're only 5th on the list

Is that solely because Hyundai has... y'know... other models?

Thanks this helped and I found the study. Y came out 2020 so I wondered if its by year.

Methodology says the rankings come from their proprietary algorithms based on their proprietary miles data which they dont share. That their adjustments have the Y at 6th and S in the 20s.
