I have come to have a bit of respect for the original sprites despite the fact that I would never personally use them, and there ARE some certain subtle details in the originals that are lost in other versions. I still personally take them over the Steam/Pachinko sprites which look like low budget characters from a Hentai OVA But obviously modding in Umineko Project and getting the PS3 sprites is the answer.
