Looks to me like it's moreso that men are the problem. The gender divide seems wider than ever before in the social media plane, and the statistics show men of every age group leaning more right. There's been other stats showing a shift further right for younger generations as well.

The future scares me with how captured the youth are. Given the younger generation is not known for their critical thinking or self-reflection skills, it may be very difficult to get them to ever turn away from the far right.

Oh, lol. I'm not in danger of becoming a conservative any time soon. If you've misunderstood or misconstrued my posts (as often happens on CE, I've learned) then it's not my problem. The one you responded to was a joke. I actually thought Harris was going to win by a landslide and was severely disappointed.

Gen X is also the smallest of the generational cohorts. So this is less of a problem than is made out to be.

Comparing them to Boomers makes Gen X's voting numbers seem just as powerful as Boomers. And they aren't, not by a long shot.

Saying that it has always been an issue does not make it any less significant of an issue. It's one thing to lose one generation to the right, but another to lose a whole demographic of every generation to the right. There have been plenty of past elections where men vote majority left especially within their respective generations
