I played Punisher and Storm. Apparently Iron Fist is a menace according to people on line but I canNOT make him work. I tried Cloak and Dagger but I strictly stay on Dagger as shes a healer

what are some characters yall would like to see added?

Way too many to name, but one Id probably be most excited about is Deadpool who is probably 99% likely to be added. Rogue would also be nice

I would play Cosmo the Spacedog. They should add Cosmo the Spacedog.

Give me more X-Men, Iceman would be a ton of fun, Colossus would be a great tank Nightcrawler idk how they'd make him work but I want to see them try

I'm really liking Cloak and Dagger so far.

I really like Thor. One of my favorites to pick. The thing about him is that he's ALL about his one ability that transforms him and lets him fire off lightning blasts. That just shreds entire teams. You want to be using that as often as possible and using your other abilities to charge up your Thorforce to use it as often as possible.

I tried them out a bit last night. The interesting thing is their abilities have separate cooldowns so you really do want to swap between them often to maximize your impact. I was mainly using Dagger too until I figured this out and realized I could double my effectiveness essentially for free.

I want to play this so badly but I don't think my laptop will handle it. I'm going to try it out and see. It couldn't handle Deadlock so I doubt it will handle this.

also people keep saying Wanda is like Moira but ....she doesn't heal, right? I like using Moira as a healer

I tried Wolverine vs easy AI and I dont really get how to play him even after a full game. Like hes obviously a melee range attacker, but I felt like I just got melted. Game is very fun though and I cant wait to try out even more characters.

Wolverine's shift attack looks like a move that you use to get into the team but it's really the opposite. You get in normally or with his right click ability and then you use shift up close to isolate someone away from their team or pull someone back to your team.

The shift attack is really hard to hit if you try to do it from range on top of someone. You really gotta hit them up close to actually grab them with it.

This is kinda how I felt about Magik

I can't even get the game to start because apparently my PC with DirectX 12 does not support DirectX 12 and I need to remove command lines and I don't know how to do that.

I hate Iron Fist so much. Feel helpless anytime he dives me. Probably how people feel when I do it with Magik too but still ugh.

Came to the other realization that there are just too many characters to try out everyone, at least to start with. Probably just gonna settle into a few I'm comfortable with while I learn the game-wide mechanics.

Iron Fist and Scarlet Witch are easily my least two favorites to fight against. Both mostly because they require 0 skill and get the freest KOs ever.

Went 25-2 in my very first match, I'm assuming that was bots

Had a lot of fun playing it today. Probably most comfortable on Luna Snow out of all the characters so far. I dont really get Cap or Thor still after trying them. Definitely prefer using Venom or Peni. Weirdly enough the characters youd assume are the most popular Ive barely seen anyone playing. Like theres hardly any Wolverines or Spider-Mans. I tried Spider-Man myself and my first game as him was awful

Yeah Spider-Man seems like the hardest character to use which is a strange choice. There's a streamer named Necros who is #1 or #2 and his Spider-Man play is insane. He moves so fast around the map and he's uppercutting people mid swing and then getting out safely.

But even then he doesn't think Spider-Man is very good currently.

That guy is one of if not the best Genji players in the world

Based on the Marvel Snap topic you would probably spend $100 right out of the gate lol so yeah maybe avoid.

I think the game does a pretty good job of keeping the microtransactions out of your face, but I'm also not really the target, so maybe it's more present than I realize

In overwatch I was basically always a tank player, but here the tanks aren't really clicking with me too much, I'm probably playing Hulk most out of them, a little Thor as well

Magneto in particular I'm pretty disappointed I just can't get a grasp on at all

I'm in a similar boat, none of the tanks feel that great to play to me. Though I'm pretty bad at tanks in general, but it would be nice to have one in the pocket in case the team comp calls for it. Hopefully they add some new Vanguards soonish (Juggernaut or Ghost Rider, pls).

But I am enjoying the game overall. I play Strategist most of the time because solo queue, but Loki, C&D, and Rocket are all uniquely fun so I don't really mind. On the rare occasion I get to play DPS, I've surprisingly been crushing it with Namor of all characters. Chuck spears and hang out with your lil octopus buddies until you can chuck a whale at 'em.

I'm actually having a lot of fun playing as Squirrel Girl. She kinda feels like this game's Junkrat.

I feel like it's very difficult playing as the Melee focused characters with little hp like Wolverine and Magik, which is a shame given that I'm a fan of both. Wolverine in particular feels like he should be a little more durable than he is

Something I saw on reddit that feels like mentioning here is that some characters are buffed this season due to the team up passives.

Like when you're on the character select screen some characters will have an orange icon on top of them showing that they're getting buffs this season. One I know off hand is Venom has +150 health and Iron Fist has extra damage.

I was under the impression these bonuses only applied if you pick the associated team up hero but that's not the case. So Venom just has 150 extra hp right now no matter what. Different characters are going to get these season buffs apparently to shake up the meta each season. Not sure if it's a good idea but it's something different at least.

So yeah the reason why characters like Venom or Iron Fist feel overtuned is because they are literally overtuned compared to the rest of the cast lol.

Magik is an interesting case too because she's overtuned right now with +15% damage so her damage breakpoints for her full combo do over 275 hp I believe. But after it's removed her max como does under 250hp. So she's going to go from being able to 1 shot 250hp and 275 characters to not being able to combo either next season.

This is what Magik looks like buffed? oh no

Oof yeah, Magik feels pretty hard to play when teams actually know what they're doing. Not looking forward to a damage nerf since getting in and out as efficiently as possible seems to be her whole thing

Yeah for a little more context all of the buffed characters are team up anchors which means they enable team ups for other characters but don't have a team up themselves. So it's a way to make up for them not having team ups I guess.

But it's still a little weird that their buffs are active no matter what. It would make more sense if they're active when the team up is enabled but IDK.

It seems each season the team ups are going to change and different characters will be anchors. So maybe Magik will get a busted team up ability next season but losing 15% damage is going to be rough.

They can always fix numbers too though so IDK. Her kit is pretty good at getting into the backline and causing chaos but it is hard to get kills.

So when you eat people as Jeff what button spits out only allies and what button spits out only enemies? Heard he can do both, but everyone Ive seen use him just eats everything near them and jumps off the edge >_>

Right click throws out allies, left to throw enemies.

Most of the time it's better to just suicide with as many enemies as possible because 90% of characters have a dash and can just live if you spit them out over an edge.

If you angle yourself up and back to the map, you can just hover back as well. As Jeff I've been spat out over and edge and been able to get back still by just aiming yourself properly, and Jeff does not have a dash.

Guys i suck with psylocke and no one on quick match ever plays hero so i am once again carrying random teams with healer just so we dont get curbstomped

Low levels yeah. He's pretty much completely absent in higher level play atm apparently.

Turns out his ult isn't that great when people know how it works and know to split up if you hear the very obvious shark sounds.

Seems like it would be a great Ult to combo with Strange, but people probably split up for his too

I've decided squirrel girl is the best character, which is canonically accurate

Yeah she's probably taken over as my favorite, along with Mantis

I wish I understood tanks in this game. Definitely my best role in Overwatch but I'm struggling to click with any of them. I'll have a great game or two with Magneto or Venom, but then just feel like I'm doing everything wrong in another game

So far I think the only tank with me that's really "clicked" is Hulk, which makes sense given that his whole thing is "jump in, fuck shit up"

Ive been having a lot of fun as Peni practicing against AI at least. They feel like theyre probably as competent as a good team comp in low/mid levels would be anyways. Peni is a ton of fun though I dont really get when I should attack or web during her ultimate yet.

Just laying down webs, throwing spider mines in them and then constantly webbing an enemy I can see is satisfying. Her actual primary fire damage feels pretty weak, but shes a tank so I get it

Also Wolverine should be a tank imo

That would make sense and hed be a popular character for the role. Storm feels like she just plain sucks ass and even her speed form feels slower than most characters in the game

It's a bit of a weird balance decision that walking speed is so slow in this game but movement abilities rocket you across the map at jet speed.
