I mean I accepted it when Harris suddenly rolled back on being aggressive and went "Actually Republicans are great, we need them in our cabinet, look at Dick Cheney" while Trump was screaming about how much he hates transgender people.

I hated it, but I accepted it. CE even yelled at me for accepting it when "It's obvious Harris is gonna win. The betting odds are just lying for some reason!"

The only thing that surprised me is I never expected him to win the popular vote. That shook me.

Eat shit for the most part, Trump's currently named cabinet has a combined wealth of 340 billion, so we know who he is governing for.

I dont have a choice

I was hoping for at least some kind of pushback to republicans unambiguously seeking to install fascism by any means necessary, but I sure gave up on that when supposedly left-leaning folks of note started bowing to Trump within days of the election.

Honestly, my big takeaway is that the people who didn't vote had the right idea all along. Since democrat politicians can't be trusted to fight fascism when it's knocking on the door, they're no better for us than the fascists themselves. We have no allies on the inside, or at least not any who can actually help us, and we can't fix the system by obeying its rules.

Saving democracy in America is going to take something a lot less friendly than voting, and I'm just not optimistic that we have it in us. So, y'know...yeah, I've accepted that Donald Trump is now and forever the king of America.

What do you want people to do? He's been elected by the democratic systems your country employs. A majority of the votes cast were for him, much as we might hate that.

Resistance, such as it is, probably consists of dragging his legislation attempts and executive orders through the courts, and galvanising the Democrat vote to deprive him of majorities in Congress and the Senate as soon as possible.

No one is pretending that this isn't a disaster for America, the planet, and a rules based international order, but it's where we are.

I said what I said. Anyone with eyes and two brain cells to rub together could see what would happen if Trump returned to power, and the only ones who could stop it - at least those who weren't already behind him - chose instead to bend the knee. If half the system is blatantly evil and the other half lets them get away with it, then how are we supposed to trust the system?

Most people that voted did not vote for Trump.

Trump won the plurality vote, not the majority vote.

As for this topic, not sure I understand the question since it doesn't matter if I want to accept it. I have to accept it.

I accept reality and place my hopes in the idea that if we cant stop the Trump agenda then instead we slow the Trump agenda. Make every action take as long as possible to implement so he implements as little as possible. Time is the weapon and it must be wielded as deftly as Trump did with his court cases.

Accepted as in this is reality? Yes.

Accepted as in I find it acceptable? No.
