Um Hank doesn't use minerals he uses pure natural gas to cook the tastiest meat.

I know many of those names are recognizable on their own, but adding their last names would have helped. I'm voting Hank because I've seen all the other fathers in action except for Bob.

I was going to go for Hank at first but honestly while Hank is a great dad, I feel Bob is a lot more supportive of his children's creative efforts instead of rejecting them outright which edges him up.

Hank and Bob are good dads.
Everyone else on the list objectively isn't.

Peter was a good dad originally but his character has drastically changed.

Stan can be a good dad after he learns his lesson of the day.

Stan is shown to genuinely care about Steve and Hayley, but he's still constantly mistreating them.

Bob > Hank > Rest

Hank is a good provider for Bobby but he also discourages or outright insults his interests too much and doesn't let him be his own person.

1. Hank is arguably the most grounded and well-meaning dad here. Hes principled, hardworking, and tries to instill those same values in his son, Bobby. However, sometimes he can be an ass like stopping Bobby from practicing his faith in the way he wanted. But normally he often comes around and demonstrates that his love for Bobby outweighs his stubbornness.

2.Bob is a loving and supportive father who genuinely tries his best for his kids. He encourages their quirks and individuality, which is a major positive. However, his obsessive dedication to his struggling stand takes up the families whole life. They are living HIS dream. They are poor not because of life , but because Bob doesn't want to do anything but the burger place.

3.I hate Homer the most because the people after him, on my list. People know that those guys are are bad. Homer gets a pass. Hes lazy, irresponsible, abusive, and emotionally neglectful. He literally chokes Bart, and he gave up on him when he was 2 years old. He is a drunken asshole. Who puts himself infront of his family time after time. Fuck that yellow bastard.

The rest: Stan consistently puts his family in harm's way, whether its through dangerous CIA experiments, altering their DNA, or putting them in life-threatening situations for his own gain.

Rick has killed or has gotten alternate versions of his family members killed, abandoned others, and routinely prioritizes his selfish pursuits over their safety or well-being. Even when hes good, its often out of convenience rather than genuine love. He has changed Morty to be just like him. And not even value life.

Peter is arguably the worst of the bunch. His actions range from neglect and verbal abuse to outright criminal behavior, such as physically harming his family and even attempting to marry his son. His treatment of Meg.

to be fair, he gets a lot better about that as the series goes on. I do think his heart was always in the right place even though he wasn't able to really communicate or connect with Bobby for a long time.

anyway, voted Bob with Hank as a close second

I can only speak of 3 Homer-Peter-Stan.
Given that - all are pretty bad but I would rank it as.

1) Stan: he does the wacky dad stuff that puts his family in danger and has to learn a lesson every week, so the default is bad dad. But for a lot of episodes the plot are Stan wanting to give his kids 'better' lives, but the conflict is his view of "better" is warped, so he's the one who needs to learn a lesson.

But I have to give him credit, A LOT of American Dad is about Stan trying to do what he things is best for his kids (that he's wrong, is the joke).

2) Homer: is sometimes okay, sometimes terrible, I mean in his own words "a horrible act of child abuse, is one of their oldest running gags" But I would say the default of Homer is neglectful. He really doesn't give his kids much attention and there are several episode where that is the main plot, tons of jokes about how he doesn't remember Maggie's name (or that she exist), even though he is 'doing it for her'

Homer once described his feelings towards Maggie as "I've got nothing against Maggie," Not exactly father of the year.... but light years better than.

3) Peter: Peter hates Meg, full stop, that's it, I have nothing else to add, and nothing else to consider. Parents shouldn't have favorites but they def shouldn't hate any of their kids.

So that's may list... but I need to add one more.

Season 1-3 Homer: It's decades ago, but in the early seasons Homer truly loved his kids, he was extremely supportive (especially of Bart) he would go out of his way to spend time with them and wanted to me a role model.

If the Simpsons stuck to that Homer, he'd be #1 on my list

This, honestly. Early seasons Homer definitely had his flaws but he did at least genuinely love his kids. I think it got especially noticeable around season 8-9 that he turned more and more stupid and a bad dad.

i had to double check the list. when i seen stan i just immediately thought of randy. kinda forgot all about american dad for a second.

went with hank. definitely not perfect but with the new seasons we will get to see how bobby grows up to give a better judgement.

i never got too much into bobs burgers. but i get why a lot voted for him. he just seems more obsessed with work than his family but a lot of that is just the show focusing more on his job(at least what i've seen of it) while king of the hill doesn't focus on hanks job much and mostly shows his home life.
