I like watching their videos somewhat, especially for games that aren't that popular so they don't get a lot of attention on sites like youtube. But they seriously just rely on doing silly voices and potty humor, and it's been like that since they started

Game Grumps is mostly a vibe, it is very funny at times but you watch it just to watch two friends have fun.

They're no Best Friends Play obviously but still.

A show featuring a professional voice actor relies on silly voices? Who would've thought?

There's also "Arin speaking with absolute certainty on a subject he has no clue about" and "Arin going on an ADHD-addled rant ending with Dan responding 'What the fuck are you talking about!?"

I understand why people would use this argument, but I say he's a professional youtuber long before I would say he's a professional voice actor

Also these silly voices are voices anyone can do, it's not like he's doing anything impressive. But yeah, that other stuff happens too. Arin is an expert on making himself look stupid

The thing is, I can find reasoning in some of his arguments and fully get where he's coming from too. I completely agree with his D-Club argument, even if I wouldn't partake myself. Or his "Good Brain Juice" explanation of ADHD, I get it. He's obviously an intelligent person, but he doesn't always explain things well, especially when he's putting on a show.

A lot of his voice acting roles stem directly from his youtube career.

I mean I'm not going to fault him if he puts "Professional Voice Actor" on his resume

It's funny how so many jokes and occurrences just happen over and over on the show.

i like them but never watch anymore. arin gets annoying as hell really fast. think i'd like them more if they kept jon instead. i think everyone i kind of liked has bailed by this point, dan's okay though.

I was never around during JonGrumps, but looking back, he really just seemed like "More Arin". I find Dan to be a good counter to him.

jon's a dummy too, but he's a lovable dummy. arin's personality just gets grating to me. there's overlap but still plenty difference between them for me to notice. dan was definitely a good add, just wish they didn't have to lose jon for him.

..well, not for him, but y'know.

I somehow found gamegrumps the least entertaining thing any of the people involved have done.

I like Jon tron's videos, NSP songs can be fun and I liked Egoraptor back in the Newgrounds days, though I doubt the awesome cartoons hold up for me.

Could never get into their let's plays though.

Honestly I'd almost never just watch Game Grumps on its own, virtually every episode I've seen was while doing something else, like playing Old School RuneScape, or doing work, or eating a meal, etc.

The closest I've ever come to giving a shit about the Game Grumps was watching ProJared and Ross O'Donovan's (ex)wife play D&D (and cheat on him with each other).

yeah i tuned back in for those shenanigans. that was pretty entertaining for a minute. i kinda liked ross though, poor dude.

It's not about the let's plays - I rarely ever watch anyone playing games unless it's a console exclusive that I'll never get that I really, really wanted to see how it tunred out story wise. I really like Dan, the personality and vibe he gives off on the channel. I like Arin, to a lesser extent - however he sometimes drops funny bombs out of nowhere that has me laughing to actual tears. It works, and at this point is like comfort food. It's familiar, it's funny, and they're of my time - (arguably) growing and evolving as I am.

tbh i still watch oneyplays for pretty much the same reason, whereas for the most part i've tuned out of let's plays and stuff, so definitely would'nt judge. i just like those boys and their doofy shenanigans. also pretty grumps adjacent, even though they don't like each other very much anymore.

Yeah Arin can't play the straight man at all. I didn't watch Good Game but I can't see it being any good.

He has his moments on the show where he can have serious, well thought conversations about meaningful topics, but as a performer he definitely plays up the Wildcard character.

I haven't watched Good Game either, but I have seen an occasional clip or two and it actually looks pretty funny. Definitely ain't paying Youtube to watch it though.

I think his ex ended up involved in the projared stuff, but he has a new girlfriend now and seems to be doing fine as far as I can tell.

I like that his content still makes use of his animation background sometimes.

I liked Egoraptor's stuff on NG when I was in middle school. And when GG started, I was hooked. But over time I lost interest, as I do with many things. I like Dan, but I preferred when Jon was co-host and it was just him, Arin, and Barry doing the editing. I no longer watch their videos, or really any LPs for that matter.

I got bored of GG when it turned to Arin whining about how hard the game is while ignoring any instructions or tutorials. I'm still subscribed to Egoraptor's channel, but I haven't watched any of his stuff in a long time.
