I prefer "Universal" healthcare But yes, as Bernie Sanders has been saying for decades the most successful thing Republicans have done is convince the American people that universal healthcare is radical. On the odd occasion I'll stream a show live from the US and it gets the ads. The American government is not great at figuring out anything on it's own and we didn't have anyone to copy off of. We fucked up social security when we already had a plan that worked. Now we do have plenty of countries to copy the template and there's no excuse for us to continue to drag our feet. Its just greed --- I don't believe in belts.
