I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

i also enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I saw the reviews.. Critics liked it more than average person.

I don't remember Gladiator 1 at all (been a long time), I'm guessing it's more cinematic. I really enjoyed the acting.. Ed Sheeran look alike was hilarious..The main actors did a great job imo, including Denzel.

There's a few ridiculous parts of the movie, and they mostly involved the gladiator arena battles *involvinganimals. I don't know how accurate they are to real battles.back then..I know animals were forced to fight.
The biggest of them all was the arena full of water and sharks with two ships fighting each other off.

ineed to rewatch the first one..I give this movie a 7.5/10

Denzel is not a revelation in this movie. Don't listen to any person that says he steals the movie.

The movie is too stupid and no performances match anything in the first movie.

Yeah I thought Denzel was overrated too. Isn't this movie doing great box office?

I think it's doing solid box office.

I didn't outright hate it. Just that it's a big quality drop off from the 1st. It's just dumber in every facet. Not that the first movie was ever really that deep. It was a very good blockbuster.

He's not a revelation, but I think he did good. I thought the story was decent. I actually was in the bathroom and missed the deception part. It's not gonna win any awards.

Also, shit naval battles roman coliseum(s) actually did happen.. Highly unlikely they had sharks though

It was a good popcorn flick. My biggest complaint is the soundtrack was a huge step back from its predecessor's.

Hans Zimmer (my favorite Hollywood composer) did the first one.

First movie was Hans Zimmer.

loved the first one! as for the sequel, there were things i liked and things i didn't.

overall tho, i thought the first movie was fine on it's own and didn't need a sequel...

Watching The Substance just completely vacated any of the mild feelings in my head about Gladiator 2. I was quite looking forward to it before it came out and while I didn't leave the theater crushed or anything I certainly felt like it was just a notch in my movie list this year rather than anything special.

Its kinda meh. You shouldn't overshadow your MC who youre supposed to be rooting for, with a supporting character (Denzel).

For a moment there youre rooting for Densel to succeed and all of a sudden youre reminded he has to die cause the bad guy and fuck the message of burning rome.

Watched it, mostly enjoyed it, zero interest in seeing it again.

man, i swear to god, the emperor twins were by far THEE worst characters in this movie! talk about over-the-top!

and it's a shame cause i like one of the actors (Joseph Quinn aka Eddie from Stranger Things).

i was probably the only person in the theater laughing at them. wasn't more laughing with them but rather at them tho... lol

Did any of you think the kid from the first one should have been the main guy in the new one? Of course he was not. Scott said he decided against doing that. That he wanted a younger actor
